   Had reservation for 7:30pm for a reason. Didn't get seated till 1 hr later. The food was cold the shrimp and fish was not done. They cheated me out of my scallops gave me 2 instead of 4. Waited 20min for the waiter to bring me honey mustard and tater sauce. The only thing good was the buttery croissants. I will not be coming back the price to expensive for all the bad service and the attitude.

   Disappointing experience. Had to wait over thirty minutes past reservation to be seated. Food quality less than average. Ordered salmon salad. Salmon serving pencil size. Ran out of baked potatoes and substituted with cold uncooked mashed potatoes without even asking. Restaurant dirty. Tables sticky. Restrooms not serviced. Waiter overwhelmed. Overall entire staff unprepared for evening dinner service. California Dreaming lost their mojo. Restaurant Manager was gracious. Didn’t require much dialog upon observing food and overall conditions.

   Arrived 15 minutes before reservation at 5:45. Seated 30 minutes later, but not really an issue until it became one. Ordered drinks and food at same time to save time to get to a concert. By 7:20 no food had arrived. Through no fault of the waitress who explained what happened with our order, the kitchen kicked out the order from line up. She told the manager who came over with our food packaged to go without charging. I appreciated the honest explanation from waitress and manager. This location can and do a better job with reservations but also more help is needed. They were extremely busy, overwhelmed and overworked.

   Terrible management, The manager did not care that we waited over an hour and a half to eat, and the food was wrong and cold. Blamed it being busy.

   Everything was fine but the lighting in our area was extremely dark and it was difficult to see.

We do use dim lighting to create a relaxed ambiance, but we understand it’s important that guests still feel comfortable.    The food was mediocre at best. The best thing about the meal was probably the baked potato soup, the salad, and the croissant appetizer. I will not be coming back. I did not think it was worth the price that I paid.

    My daughter chose California Dreaming for her 11th birthday and wore a birthday crown and dress, but our waiter never acknowledged her or the occasion. Service was slow and impersonal. He didn’t ask about appetizers with drinks, was gone for long stretches, and we had to request basic things like appetizer plates. The crab fingers and croissants were great, and the food overall was good—though the fries were cold and the ribs were left off our order, arriving late. I ordered double rack and received single. At the end, there was still no mention of my daughter’s birthday, no dessert offer—just the check and a quick, “Do you want anything else?” Despite the poor service, I still left an 18% tip. Unfortunately, we left disappointed.
