Browns - Glasgow
Food was great - good choices for vegetarian son although when we were presented with the menu we were told of the dishes that were unavailable that day BUT no vegetarian items were discussed even though son had asked and been given the seoerate veg/vegan menu - when we ordered my son was told “that one is off today” so he had to go back to the drawing board - just proving the veggie/vegan isn’t always front of mind - wouldn’t stop us coming back though as food delivered was excellent!
Service poor and very very quiet. No ambience.
Lovely restaurant , friend staff and wonderful food
Very pleasant restaurant with a great atmosphere. The food was brilliant and our server couldn’t do enough for us. Would highly recommend
We visited Browns on the Saturday before Christmas. It was very busy which is to be expected but is an encouraging sign. They had sold out of a few menu items. Hopefully that was unusual. The food was very good.
Food wasn't up to much.
Completely disorganised. Bookings running 1 hour late. Far too many bookings.
Too noisey, the room has a very bad echo. The food is ok.
Went with friends visiting from Melbourne and Cork. Food was delivered fast with no time between courses. Restaurant decor is lovely. Food was ok, nothing special.
A quick Sunday lunch, there were a few minor niggles with service but overall very good, food was great
Loved Browns! Great food & drinks and excellent service. Wound up going twice in our 3 days visiting Glasgow!
A perfect night food amazing just what we needed when we had finished Christmas shopping
Food was nice enough, ambiance one step up from Wetherspoons, was it worth £37 a head for two courses?.... No
Two dirty glasses sent back within the first 5 mins.
Was not much on the menu as the bar menu was being updated. Ended up with just finger food which was nice but nothing special.
Bar staff brought one drink over at a time, very strange. No straws then came over with straws far too big for the cocktails.
Was disapointed, particularly with the food.
I had the prawn cocktail, it tasted of nothing, there was basically no sauce on the prawns.
Then had the mushroom tagliatelle, mushrooms were nice but again there wasn't any sauce or flavour, had to add a lot of salt. We didn't bother with dessert.
Wasn't a fan of our table, perhaps because we were downstairs felt a bit forgotten.
It was expensive IMO for what it was.
The food was lovely and the staff were very friendly, however it was so busy they were rushed off their feet. Waited 25 minutes to get my drinks order.
There was a failure of the gas supply and a limited menu was offered.
The staff failed to communicate this to us on arrival and the board
outside still showed the lunch offers as normal. Very disappointing
Graduation dinner with family and friends, very memorable occasion and fantastic evening
Great location on George Square, interesting building, great food and friendly service. Can be popular so worth booking at busy times.
Good atmosphere, food could've been better
Food choice was good but we had to send a few of the main courses and vegetables back as they were cold!
This was our first visit since Brown's reopened. We had a really good evening. Good food with good, friendly service
Seating was as if we were in a cafe bar. Food was average.
The soup when it came was cool but when stirred became warmer, think it had been mircowaved but not stirred.
Our main course and vegetables we sent back due to again being cold. When re - served food was warm and very tasty, unfortunately most of the main course was eaten before vegetables appeared.
We were then overcharged by £20 on the bill.
Enjoyed great food and service with a few friends, just perfect and lovely cocktail!
very pleasant evening . the waiter was very attentive. may be a bit on the noisy side but it was a Saturday evening and every body was having a good time.
Had a lovely meal here before the theatre, great food, friendly service from Jamie. Great surroundings and central location, will be back!
