One of my better meals in Lisbon! Boubou's was quiet when I met a friend for dinner at 7:30 PM on Thursday (though pretty busy when we left around 10:00), but service was pleasant and attentive, without being overly so, despite the increasing number of filled tables. The menu is simple, and even smaller tonight without raw oysters and (not raw) lamb kebabs on the menu. We concurred decisively with recommendations by our server for a red wine and a white wine, and moved on to ordering dinner. Appetizers include bread (grilled, and incredibly good), fried calamari, and salmon tartar with horseradish sauce. They were perfect starters. Mains included spaetzle with sea bass, and pappardelle with crab, clams, mussels, and seafood broth. Both mains: out of this world! No room for dessert, but looking forward to that on a future visit. LIvely atmosphere but quiet enough to manage most conversation. All in all, an excellent meal at a modest cost. (2 glasses of wine, 2 starters, 2 mains, 83 euro)

Went back for a second night in a row while traveling abroad. Service was great as was the food! The staff remembered us and were bright and attentive!

From the second we arrived our experience began. Our hosts were attentive and took the time to understand us. Their knowledge of the menu and wine list was exceptional and was a true representation of what was served to us. The food was exquisite, the cocktails divine, surroundings sublime. We couldn’t recommend this enough and can’t wait to return.

The lamb is a must order. Also try the tapioca marshmallows, it sounds weird but they are great.

BouBou’s is a charming spot on a quiet side street in Principe Real. The ebullient and dapper proprietors, Alex and Joris, have created a neighborhood jewel with excellent food in an elegant setting.

What a great fine in Lisbon! Fresh ingredients, amazing staff!

Location is a little dificult for parking, however, we came with a baby (and baby stroller), the staff was prompt to help us parking and help with the stroller.

This is an absolute gem in one of Lisbon's nicest neighborhoods. High quality, creative menu. Attentive and eloquent staff. You can not wish for more.

We had the lunch menu. The food was very tasty, with an original twist. The ambiance was very nice. We stayed in the interior garden. Even with the lunch menu, it's not a place to have lunch everyday, because
it's still an expensive menu for an everyday restaurant. But, overall, the experience was worth the visit.

Ate here on the last night of our trip to Lisbon, we were seated at "bar seating" which was actually right at the kitchen which gave us a great view of what was going on, and able to watch the three great chefs do what they do.

The food was great. Tasty, creative and interesting. With a lot of staff milling around the place, and always happy to help and offer friendly advise.

Only slight mark against was the temperature of the hotel. We visited in November when the nights get quite chilly, and the restaurant seems to be more designed for the warmer months of the year and is therefore quite open. This causes a draft through the restaurant that makes it a little less comfortable than it should be.

Other then that, I can recommend

Amazing interior and exceptional service

All doors were open, too cold and windy inside the restaurant, uncomfortable throuhout the whole lunch. The food took too long to be served, eventhough it was delicious.

I had the best risotto in my life. All the rest was excelent, but the risotto was out of the roof.

We enjoyed our evening here very much. The food was really good. We had the pasta and it was excellent. The soup could have been warmer but that was a minor problem. After our meal they called us a taxi so we could get back to our hotel. Excellent service!

Lovely ambience, terrific service and great food. We were completely pleased with our entire experience. Later diners get better seating in the open kitchen, which reflects the euro tendency to later dinners.

The staff is very friendly and nice. We were a group of 8 which make the service slower. Everything that we ordered was very tasty, fresh and good. We all loved the place. Cocktails and wine selection was very good.

We’re visiting from Canada on our honeymoon and had an amazing experience at Boubou’s. The moment we arrived early for our reservation, the kind host seated us at the bar to start off. Fabio our bartender was phenomenal. He was not only a talented bartender but he was also very knowledgeable and courteous. He even gave us a list of places to check out during our stay. We were then transferred to our table (by the wonderful host - which we didn’t catch his name) where we then ordered a few more appetizers and wine. Our server was not as pleasant however the table was beautiful and tucked away in the corner.

Overall a fantastic experience. My recommendation would be to sit at the bar and have Fabio take care of you. His service was the most memorable part of our evening.
