Join us for an evening of almost all Italian wines, accompanied by a series of delicious, unpredictable and probably not very Italian dishes. Daniel Lieurance owns Dandelion Wines in Raleigh, and does all the work of importing, distributing, selling, and delivering these wines all by himself. He spent some years living in Italy and getting to know the winemakers with whom he works. He has a love for sharing great wines from lesser known regions and makers. Come enjoy his stories and his very affordable wines. We will post a menu on the website and in the email as soon as Chef brings it forth from his great big brain. But it's sure to be good. 5 Courses, 5 Wines. Bombolo does require a credit card to secure your reservation.

The wait staff was disengaged and inattentive and uninterested in providing good service. When our candle burned out it was never replaced. The younger server explained some ingredients but never showed any more interest. The moment we were seated we were asked what we wanted to drink and we definitely didn’t have any time to look at the menu. The bluefin tuna appetizer was inedible, filled with the equivalent of gristle.Neither of us could chew it. The barbecue shrimp was good and so were the oysters, although quite small. Do they shrink? The tagliatelle was on the wrong side of al dente and the sauce was overly bland. The rigatoni was served on too small a plate. In general we were very disappointed and will definitely not return.

This was our first time and we will be back soon. Interesting menu and our dishes were delicious. Outstanding wine list and wonderful, friendly and efficient service.

Joy, our server was very charming and answered many questions. The chef made some changes to a dish in order to accommodate my guest as it was early and not too busy. The octopus migas was delicious and the veal chop huge and juicy. We savored the baked oyster and the chewy bread and special spreads.It was pretty dark so we used a flashlight to vie the menu.

The starters and mains were excellent as usual! Such wonderfully complex and balanced flavors. We always enjoy our meals at Bombolo!

Disappointing. We ate on the patio, which was empty and quiet, but unattractive. The food was good, but disappointing overall, and the serving sizes small. Surprisingly, most menu items were not Italian or continental but Asian, and almost everything included hot chile pepper. Since we weren't looking for spicy Asian food, the selection was limited. The waiter was accommodating, but we won't be returning.

Chef Garret is amazing. Every dish was delicious and the staff was welcoming and gracious. Put yourself in the hands of this restaurant and trust each dish will be good to the last bite.

This is our second trip to Bombolo. Such a great restaurant with creative offerings for both of and drink. Definitely located in an unexpected spot but worth the time.
