Bodrum Turkish Mediterranean
Food was delicious, excellent yet unobtrusive service, friendly atmosphere.
Taking a friend from out of town to dinner. She loved her Branzino and grilled vegetables. My lamb shank and couscous was very tasty. The Mediterranean salad was especially good.
The food was fresh and savory! Service was great and I will return.
The food was great, the waitress seemed a little bit off and not too friendly. They asked us if they could have the table at a certain time and we agreed but it made us feel less welcomed which I understand their side but still it’s not really necessary to say it. Definitely will come back for the food.
Bodrum is my go-to place for out of town guest and birthday celebration (and when I want a delicious meal).
I've been to Bodrum for lunch and dinner- both were excellent. The food is very fresh, uniquely prepared, and delicious. Highly recommend!
We are regular customers and like to take visitors there. We always have a good experience.
We've eaten here at least once a month for years. The food is consistently excellent (the shepherd salad, pizzas, kebabs, stuffed cabbage, and fish dishes are fabulous!!), the service is always speedy and friendly, the ambiance is small but not over crowded, and the prices are very reasonable. You'll never be disappointed at Bodrum!
We don't know what happened! This is one of our favorite UWS restaurants, but given our meal from this past weekend, we're reevaluating and deeply 'concerned'. From start to finish, our dinner got progressively worse. We arrived 15 minutes after our reservation time due to unforeseen personal circumstances (yes, we should have called) and were met with a fare amount of arrogance by the hostess. We made light of it and opted, instead, to enjoy each other's company and an anticipated delicious meal. Well, the company was great, but the dinner not so much. Our appetizers were 'good'...spinach cigars, mucver, and a salad...but having had these many times before, they were simply not up to standards. We then shared chicken kabobs...totally overcooked and dried out...and the branzino, which was 'fishy' and simply very, very fair. Perhaps Bodrum in resting on their laurels...perhaps the chef was a sub or had a bad day...or perhaps this restaurant is on a decline. Regardless, we'll give it another shot and hope for the best. But it is a sign and not a good one.....
The food was delicious. In particular, the walnut yogurt tasiki was to die for! The service was attentive without being annoying or having to get their attention. Will definitely return!
You need to have air conditioning! It's way too hot in there with the oven on one side and the open doors to the rainy, humid weather.
Service was slow, which is unusual. But the food always excellent.
Love this spot, great food! Love the ratatouille, yum!
And the bread is beyond good!!!
Excellent food. Great lamb dishes. Service was very good.
The food is usually spectacular and fresh but this time was simply good.
Love this restaurant. Food is always great and the service very friendly.
Great selection of dishes. Highly recommended
Delicious food! Excellent service! Ambience conducive to conversation and fine dining.
Always love this place. Been going for years, sometimes weekly (Monday is 1/2 price on wine!). Ambiance is pleasant, staff is wonderfully friendly, and food is consistently out of this world. If you don't go, it's your loss!
Delicious and interesting food, and excellent service. The wood fired bread is excellent. We shared a Shepherd salad. We enjoyed sitting outside on a lovely night.
Bodrum is one of our favorite regular eating spots. The lamb dishes are consistently delicious. So, too, are the salads.
We came in from out of town to meet UWS friends at Bodrum, and we all loved it! The flavors in the dishes were wonderful. I had the lamb tagine, and others in our party had a sample platter of the appetizers. Everything was good. The wine list was on the brief side but well-curated. The only downside is that it's a small-ish space and can get noisy when it's crowded ... but it's crowded because the food is good. We'd all go back in a heartbeat.
As always, I loved the meal at Bodrum! It is my favorite neighborhood restaurant!
Friends from Barcelona and Philadelphia in town.
Loved the food as always...commented on fabulous hummus.
One of my neighborhood favorites.
We love Bodrum. The bread is amazing...either with olive oil or with their incredible hummus. All the food is fresh and delicious. Be sure to make a reservation.
Birthday dinner, was very nice
Nice staff great service but the food was very mediocre
We always enjoy dining at Bodrum. This was a lovely evening ,
I am reluctant to write a review that truly expresses how much I love this restaurant for fear that it will become impossible to get s table at our new, favorite little secret gem of a restaurant! ;-)
My partner and I recently discovered this neighborhood Mediterranean restaurant. We have returned often and we bring friends ,who also love this place. With an eclectic and reasonably priced menu of Greek, Turkish, Italian and Moroccan food, there is always something new to try and we never been disappointed. The staff is welcoming and friendly.
This is a great neighborhood find. More reasonable in price than another Mediterranean place, and the food is very good. I love the fish tagine and the appetizers. Pizzas are also good.
Good food and authentic. Great baklava. Everyone enjoyed their food. Pleasant setting but it is very loud when the restaurant is full. Average service.
One of my favorite neighborhood gems. Food is consistently delicious and authentic.
I wish the brunch menu had a lot more variety. Thanks
Absolutely love this place!! Delicious food and great service!!
Nothing but the best. Always!!
Bodrum was a solid restaurant once upon a time. This last visit was disappointing. For starters the restaurant was too hot inside. the outside were opened but flow of air does not come inside. with a huge pizza oven going full tilt it was uncomfortable. Our party of four felt the same.
Our waiter seemed overwhelmed from the start. He did not understand our drink order. He returned twice to check further.
The Shepard's salad was delicious.
My salmon was overcooked. I asked for medium but it was well done.
The fish tagine was just okay. non descript.
A pizza was okay.
Given all of the above I will think twice about a return trip for $160.
Our experience at Bodrum is always positive. We dine there often because we love their hot bread, white pizza, baba ganoush, and Shepard salad.
Excellent food; one of the best Turkish restaurants I've been to in NYC and can be compared to many restaurants I've been to in Turkey itself . The salads and mezes are very good and the entrees that friends or I have had have uniformly been excellent - try the moussaka or the lamb shanks, for example. Unless you come after nine pm, best to have a reservation and to make it the day before.
Friendly staff, great food, lively but not too noisy atmosphere. I will definitely return
love this place, great food, amazing friendly staff!
I am an enthusiastic frequent customer of Bodrum's. The food is very good and the setting is pleasant.
