Met my sister for dinner. Conveniently located right between us, and easy to get to. Food and drinks were wonderful and service was great.
We thoroughly enjoyed our evening at Bocca. The food and service were quite good. The noise level was high since there were several large groups. We will definitely return.
Service was fine. Food was good but very small portions for the cost.
Arranged a business dinner with two colleagues all from out of town. Found Bocca on Open Table and gave it a try. All three of us are seasoned diners and this rated among the best meals we've ever had. All of the items had great flavor and were delivered in reasonable portions. The polipo e chorizo was amazing. The mozzarella fatta in casa was very flavorful. The flavor of the tonnarelli cacao e pepe - the house specialty - was rivaled only by its presentation in a giant cheese wheel. We also enjoyed the pappardelle al ragu di agnello.
The restaurant week menu offered many enticing choices and everything we selected was very good. It's a very casual place and the service is a bit off-handed but friendly. Good value and worth a repeat.
Amazing meal, dessert and perfect service! We went to Bocca to celebrate graduation.
The food was very good and the service was outstanding!
Went for restaurant week - we got the crab cake, beef carpaccio, salmon entree, lamb shank pappardelle, and two panna cotta. The food was delicious, portions were just right so you dont leave feeling overly stuffed. The service was attentive but not nagging, the drinks (gin fresh and grab a pear) were 💯, and the overall experience was very pleasant. I think if i had gone on a normal basis it wouldve been a splurge and a but pricey, but for restaurant week it was just right!
* for the gf population - not everything is gf but the waiters are knowledgeable and help guide you towards dishes that you can safely enjoy/ slightly tweak it so its gf
food was good. our seriver was kind and attentive. the food timing form he kitchen was sadly terrible. we had three apps. one came out and the other two cam out 10 mins later. the same happened with our mains. two came out and the third came out 10+ mins later. not a fun way to eat. we were comped the one dish to make up for the gaff which was kind just frustrating. all in all a decent meal and a good time with a few hiccups.
Loved this place. Great service and delicious drinks and cocktails.
The food at this neighborhood stalwart has gotten even better in the past year under Chef James Corona. The succulent olive oil poached shrimp are addictive, and the pastas are delicious and perfectly portioned. Making the experience all the more delightful, Nico is the perfect host and Italian hospitality personified.
What A wonderful surprise. We went there last minute on a whim and found absolutely incredible food and service.
The food was fabulous as usual my friends from out of town said it was the best meal they had in New York.
Kevin was a friendly and attentive server. Started with Gamberi all’aglio e olio,Olive oil poached shrimp, roasted garlic, toasted bread. Always a winner!! We also had the appetizer special which was deep fried lasagne pasta strip topped with burrata and pesto which was outstanding. For dinner we hadFiletto di maiale, Herbed pork tenderloin medallions, grilled broccoli rabe, roasted potatoes and another special the blue crabmeat over gemelli pasta with pesto which was really good. Dessert was Nutella semifreddo, which is Nutella custard, macerated wild berries. Tinos and some Beers and Lemonjello ended the evening.
Thank you Bocca FANTASTIC!!!!
Food and service are fantastic! One of our favorite neighborhood restaurants. Highly recommend!!!
Overall, Bocca was a nice experience. The food really was quite good. However, it was noticeably understaffed (only two people for an increasingly busy dining room), and this created slower service, and a couple of slip-ups. Before we were seated, we ordered a round of drinks and an appetizer at the bar. We were given an extra appetizer we didn't order, though we never mentioned it because the poor guy who was tending bar and later being our server part of the time was so nice (and the appetizer was quite tasty). The woman acting as both the hostess and our server part of the time was fairly nice, although she showed a bit of attitude about our changing our minds about how we wanted to divide the bill amongst the three of us. Most of all, we didn't blame the two of them - they needed a dedicated bartender, at least. But again, an overall good evening out.
Absolutely delicious, every bite. Can't wait to return again!
Excellent restaurant. Very enjoyable will return. Pasta was excellent and the fried Calimari was Chrisp. Very relaxed atmosphere.
I enjoyed the experience and the food. The cacio e pepe was delicious but too salty. I asked my dinner guest and she felt the same. Loved the veal meatballs.
We had dinner at Bocca for Father's Day celebration. Everything was so yummy. Now it has become my children's favorite Italian restaurant.
I had been to Bocca during restaurant week 2 years ago and was attended by a very nice waiter from Italy; the food was outstanding; because the experience was so good, I made a point of going out of my way to go there again when I was in town, this time bring my brother in law and his wife; our waiter was horribly rude; we and one other table were the only traffic in the restaurant at the time; however, he was more interested in speaking with his co workers at the bar than assisting us with the menu; with all the restaurants in NY, this is one we will never again choose
We came here to try out the Tonnarelli cacio e pepe which is pasta served in a cheese wheel. It did not disappoint!
Excellent cocktails (negroni, martini), appetizers and pastas = great date night. The Caccio e Pepe is scooped out of a cheese wheel table side, and couldn’t be better.
We had the price-fixe lunch Which was delicious. We are a group of friends to go get together often and they let us sit and talk for as long as we wanted.
First time we visited Bocca and it will not be the last one. Due to my daughter's Thesis show at Parsons, we came late, basically ordering at 10pm, at a time when the kitchen closes. I expected a quick dinner, since the staff surely wanted to go home. To our surpise we got a perfect dinner, wonderfull presentation. Incredible service by all the staff. What a nice treat so late at night!!
We will be back for sure!!
Waiter knew nothing about their menu or wine and needs to learn about how to be a waiter. He in addition to incompetent was annoying..
Took friends from London here. Everyone loved it.
Very good Italian food in a very comfortable restaurant. A great place to have a meal with friends.
Awful service!!!!! Will not go back!
Food was delish and fresh!!
Our visit to Bocca was incredible. The food had well-balanced flavors and was insanely delicious. The waiters were the most attentive and friendly waiters we've ever met (truely, I'm not exaggerating). We will insist that all our friends whom will visit New York have a meal at Bocca.
The food was delightful, and yummy. The wine was exactly what you want, with a wide selection to choose from. I lingered with a friend catching up over the last 20 years, and we were allowed to linger. I loved it and will go back.
This is great when ever you go. Top notch food with great sundried tomato in oil.
Pasta fish meat.. have it all ..
This was a last-minute find and really a nice little gem. My wife and daughter were in the mood for pasta and turned out to be very good. Our server Kevin was very friendly and attentive and the food came out hot and fresh… And the pasta did not disappoint!!The salads were delicious and the bread with their homemade dipping sauce is spectacular! Always awesome to get pleasantly surprised when your not expecting it. Will definitely recco to others and pay another visit when we return.
Bocca is a must when I visit NYC! Fantastic drinks and delicious food!
We were looking for a nice spot for a dinner with friends in the flatiron area and ended up booking bocca. The atmosphere is casual, everybody is super friendly and the food was really tasty. We’ll definitely come back.
Bocca is a fantastic restaurant. Nico, the manager, is very knowledgeable and very friendly. Fabrizio our waiter was perfection. Our food was excellent and just the right amount, real roman fare as authentic as it gets (I'm Italian ). I would recommend Bocca as one of the best Italian restaurants in Manhattan, don't miss out!
Our Open Table reservation was books in wrong location but Bocca Cincinnati was fabulous- accommodating our mixup so that we had a wonderful experience.
Good food at a fair price. If you are in the neighborhood this is a place to have a good dinner up to a party of 4.
The restaurant was so loud my dinner companion and I could barely hear each other. And we are not going deaf. Yet. Although, after our experience at Bocca...
