   While I appreciate a small well thought out menu when 2 of 7 main courses are not available that is a disappointment. The server was condescending and bordering on rude. An evening that should have been a delight was an embarrassment - we took friends for dinner as a thank you. The food is delightful the service was shocking - it’s a shame when the kitchen is so good.

   Franquette is a perfect combination of comfort and class, but above all excellent taste. I always find a cocktail I like, and more knowledgeable friends and family have been impressed by the wine selections and recommendations whenever they've asked. The service is friendly and the staff unabashedly but effortlessly cool. I have always had a good time and keep going back. Above all though the food is really good. Nothing overstated or unnecessary, dependable for classics on their menu yet everything they serve has their special attention to detail and commitment to a really tasty plate. Add to that the possibility of cocktail and menu specials to make it worth revisiting even when the menu hasn't changed, and special events with other local and visiting chefs and restaurants, means I've never been bored or felt like I had the same meal twice despite returning again (and again). If you're a steak/frites person you pretty much have to try?? Went for the mussels this time to change it up and was not disappointed, another classic, and as usual made my night. Please enjoy!

   Fabulous food, great wine list very attentive staff. Get there early if you want to try their signature dish which is the hamburger. Mussels very flavourful and very interesting desserts. Will be back!

   Great experience overall. The halloumi appetizer was fantastic as was the beet salad and burger. The fish was not as flavourful as I would have hoped given the price. Pot de crème was a 10! Cocktails were good but not as good as we had hoped. Overall experience was very good. Thank you!

   Excellent et agréable service. Bonne nourriture, simple efficace et plaisirs gustatifs sont au rendez-vous. Bons drinks et ambiance chaleureuse et conviviale.

   La Franquette is one of my favourite restos. Consistently amazing food, great ambiance and attention to detail. A super experience.
