    Great food, service and atmosphere. Loved the trout and others the ribeye steaks. The sides with the meals were wonderful. Even really enjoyed the banana pudding (best I have tasted since my grandmother's). Quiet and not busy. Loved it.

    Birchwood is a go to for us, especially with out of town guests. Delicious entrees - chicken, meatloaf- and side dishes - tomato pie and collards. And don’t skip the desserts. Great service. My “foodie” friend loved it.

    Good service but unfortunately food was fair. Ordered a ribeye steak medium well and was served medium rare. They did offer to put back on the grill but it was served on a bed of mashed potatoes, brussel sprout leaves and bacon jam, so I opted out and only ate the the mixed mash of veggies. My husband however ordered the same and he liked his & the way it was cooked. We both had a mixed drink each and split and appetizer and the bill with tip was $150.

    We didn't have to wait for anything once we arrived. Serivces were quick, friendly and attentive. Food was excellent and reasonably priced. You couldn't ask for a better experience. Well run establishment.

    Right in the heart of Waynesville. Great food and service from Conner. Recommend collard green casserole as an appetizer.

    FOOD WAS OKAY. SERVICE WAS EXCELLENT. PRICE OF BAR DRINKS WAS UNUSUALLY HIGH. $17 FOR AN UNDERSIZED SPECIALTY MARTINI IS WAY OUT OF LINE. WE ARE TALKING WAYNESVILLE, NC NOT NY CITY.

    The restaurant is large and from 6:30-7:15 only four tables were occupied. Customers add to the ambiance, so it was almost like an empty cavern. Service was excellent and staff welcoming. Food was good though when ordering prime rib, one should expect a lot of fat and gristle and theirs didn’t didn’t disappoint. One in our party highly praised the fried chicken. Another’s burger came medium rare, as ordered, which is rare. Part of family wanted to return another evening, but since here for a short time, we decided to try another place. If we lived here, we would “regulars”.

    Great food! Husband had the fried chicken and he said it was best he’s had. Shared the collard greens casserole and it was outstanding. I had trout and it was delicious as well. Only complaint is the booth seats are torn and ripped. Been that way for years. You would expect a restaurant that is aiming for high quality experience would pay more attention to decor and atmosphere.

    This was our favorite restaurant. Took out of town guests and tomato pie was blan, pork chop was totally not what was described as it was swimming in an odd piccata sauce with over cooked peas. Duck was swimming in grease. We have been here multiple times and ordered same thing. We will not be back.
