Legendary Dining & Hospitality
Acting as stewards of traditional hospitality, the dining room offers world-class cuisine in a warm and welcoming environment. Serving an array of local beer, spirits and craft cocktails and all brought to you by our friendly staff, the Belton Tap Room is a favorite of locals and guests from around the world.

With an outdoor elevated deck and original 100-year-old fireplace, this is the perfect place for all that Montana summers have to offer. Every evening, our staff lines the balconies to welcome the evening train, just like they did in 1910. Steeped in the romanticism of a bygone era, this is the perfect setting for a special evening - whether you're celebrating an anniversary or the completion of a ten-mile hike.

Seating is limited and by phone reservation only. Please call 406-888-5000 for reservations. $125 per person. Taxes and Gratuity not included. Main Course and Dessert selections required at booking.     We were a party of 2 out for a nice evening while on vacation. Maybe the wait staff were overwhelmed by a large crowd, because we waited a long time between simple courses that were all ordered at one time. My dinner arrived medium warm and my wife’s arrived not warm at all. We didn’t complain or even mention the issue, and nobody from management stoped by to ask about our meal. At the end there was a mixup between two servers. One had apparently checked out a couple at the next table using our table number, invalidating our server from taking credit card payment for our bil. I paid cash just to be able to leave without a long wait for someone to correct the issue. We would return to give the restaurant a second chance, but would expect a much better level of service. Overall - the food was good and the ambience was good too.

    We were very happy with our dinner at Belton Chalet. We enjoyed the trout entree and an excellent bottle of French Chardonnay. A cherry basil sorbet for dessert was delicious. We would have liked a few different options for appetizers but overall the food and service were top notch. It’s worth a drive out of West Glacier Park where the service team was overstretched and food was low quality

    The best place in west glacier for progressive cocktails and food. Wonderful friendly staff. We ate here twice. Do not miss this. The trout and meatloaf are a must.

    This was our best meal in West Glacier and it wasn’t even close. The restaurant has a great atmosphere. A kind of classy historic place. I loved the vibe and the food was excellent…cocktails were fantastic as well! Next trip to the area we will be eating here for all our dinners.

    Food was excellent. Our waitresses explained the menu so well and helped us with our selection. A surprisingly great meal.

    The Belton Chalet dining room had several semi-gourmet and unique offerings with large portions and an casually elegant atmosphere. Wait staff were professional and the service was prompt. It was quite pricey, especially the wine, not unexpected for a resort area. Unfortunately neither my husband nor I cared for our meals due to the flavor combinations. That very well could be a matter of personal preference.

    Our visit was for a special occasion and it was everything we expected... Perfect! The food was absolutely amazing and the staff was exceptional. I will bring visitors there in the future as well as recommend this place to all! Thanks so much!
