Love Chef George restaurants, every one have a special feeling. In this case we have great taste of Portuguese food in a very gourmet and stylish way. We try the white wine mussels, cod fish and octopus, what a delicatessen!!
Cesar our waiter was incredibly amazing, very helpful and polite, with perfect timing not over us at all.

What a find! Chic European urban style décor (AC yes!), delicious food and wonderful service. Love their selection of gin tonics and mixology. The food is amazing, you can feast on starters to share tapas style, you can have a traditional Portuguese piri piri chicken (the fries are addictive) or splurge with a chateaubriand or a whole seabass cooked in salt crust. We came for a friends birthday (including a vegetarian) and we can't wait to go back. It is fairly new addition to the restaurant scene in Playa already becoming popular between locals. Overall it was a wonderful dinner.

Great food, atmospher ok service fantastic, price a bit to expensive for the value you get, 850 pesos for a 10oz stake is way to expensive in playa del carmen thats over 40 usd. I ate rack of lam 4 peaces 650 pesos. Wine Kandel Jackson Pino noir 1800 pesos lmao. enough said you get the drift. I have been living in playa for over 20 years i know playa del carmen.

Belmonte never disappoints. Service, atmosphere and food were impeccable. No stressed out waiters, ugly TVs or ear-splitting music here. It's a proper European-style restaurant with an open kitchen.

We had a wonderful salt crusted seabass, a delicious rice and seafood dish, and my wife had a perfect Bacalao that reminded her of her youth in Portugal.

We live here and this is our favorite restaurant in the region.
