The food looked beautiful and was delicious. There just was not much there for the money. The hot drinks sadly were not very hot. Despite these issues I find that Belle Epoque is a lovely venue to enjoy High Tea with a friend.

Our high tea at Belle Époque was great - a really nice selection of sandwiches and cakes and the staff were very helpful.

Celebrated my sister's birthday with a high tea and we had the best time. Food was delicious and service was also really good.

We enjoyed a baby shower high tea at Belle Epoque recently & the food was delicious (the sweets were outstanding). One of our party is vegan & her high tea was equally as delicious. The service was excellent & the surroundings are beautiful. I would highly recommend a high tea for any occasion.

Incredible food and a lovely venue and staff. Only concern was the wait time, we pre-booked a high tea however we waited 1hr for food. Otherwise a perfect morning tea!

Whilst the sweet treats on the pricey high tea were delightful, the savoury were less desirable- pastries served stone cold, bread for sandwiches could have been more fresh. If I were to return, I would not order the high tea but rather select something from the cabinet or menu. Too expensive for overall experience IMO.

We waiting 1 hour for food, they asked us if we wanted anything else a couple times and said the kitchen wasn’t answering. Multiple people arrived after us and got their food long before us while we still waited, the people beside us had two lots of different food while we still waited for our one. If it wasn’t for this it would of been fine. The food wasn’t worth the wait, there was nothing exciting about it.

This was our first time at high tea and I would say our last. Staff were pleasant but when you say all the tea and coffee you can drink, you should have enough staff to be able to provide this. Even filling up your water glass we had to ask several times. We had the vegetarian high tea and the only two foods that had flavour were the scones with the beautiful jam and the chocolate hazelnut roulade. The ribbons sandwich was ok but the other two sandwich’s were awful hence why they only had a bite out of them. Anyhow the search for Brisbane’s best high tea continues.

Great selection of food for the high tea and excellent service!

Food, service and atmosphere was outstanding. We felt like we were well looked after with water glasses regularly filled. Food very delicious and reasonably priced.

Great location close to train and bus stop as well as good parking near by.

Highly recommended.

Sad to say we were very disappointed in food. Everything had an overwhelming herbal flavour which was unpleasant and lingered throughout the day. There was also a tart with cherries soaked in rum included on the service. It was not at all palatable but more to the point alcohol soaked fruit was not appropriate for non drinkers.
It was certainly worth trying

Quality of service and food was excellent. would come again and try pastries not offered with High Tea. Disappointed about not having it in the piano bar as that was the impression received from the website

This is a delightful casual eatery. It has an elegant, stylish atmosphere and the food we ate was delicious. Also ordered a reasonably priced cocktail which was perfect.
We would have liked the high tea but felt it was overpriced at $120 for two

Belle Epoque has great potential but struggles to deliver. Waitresses very sweet but difficult to understand and vice versa. Service was very slow and the cafe wasn't busy. Drinks order was delivered to the wrong table but we weren't charged for the coffees and milkshake which were delivered to us in error, which were similar but not the same as original order, The toasted sandwiches were the highlight, melt in your mouth, delicious. Chips also fantastic, freshly cut. Dessert was a bit hard to get through, very glad we ordered ice cream to go with the peach sponge, which looked sensational but a bit too much sponge. Coffee was also excellent. Would I recommend Belle Epoque to a friend - there isn't the option for "Not Sure", so will say "yes' because of the toasted sandwiches, chips and coffee. The service is the biggest problem, although the staff do try hard.

A delicious breakfast in a gorgeous little French cafe in South Brisbane! Loved the food, decor and ambience. Will definitely bring friends and family here! Looking forward to trying the high tea and the beautiful cakes.

Expected a better range. Did not see any Viennese pastries, which is why I went there.

The staff were so lovely! They had a full cafe and still managed to check in multiple times to see if we were ok and to top up our teas and coffees. The food in the high tea was delicious

Food took a little while to arrive. Our breakfast was taken to the wrong table and when staff realised they apologised to the other table and brought it over to us. one of the eggs was already cut by the other guest, which was off-putting for us. we didn't complain as we didn't have much time to eat due to other commitments. the venue is gorgeous but this mishap put us off. In a covid environment you'd think the meals should have been re-made fresh? 4 out of 5 stars just because the café is gorgeous and coffee is great :)

Lovely restaurant with amazing steak and firs. Loved the interior design and we will be back.
One improvement is needed, we saw 2 customers walk away because your entrance is not easy to find through the bakery. I would review that as it’s odd and mood killer upon arrival unlike the amazing restaurant interiors. Maybe open the outside door and greet guests from there.

Dining with a GF member of my family. The options for the $60p/p GF high tea verged on inedible. The standard options were delicious. Upon our feedback the management and staff were very apologetic. I hope they work on their DF/GF options and bring them up to the standard of their main menu.

We felt very special and were well looked after during our High Tea. It was lovely.

Good food, nice decor, enjoyable experience. Will return to try one of the delicious sweets.

I would not recommend for high tea but just for coffee or tea will be alright.

While the service was great and we enjoyed the scenery we found the food did not live up to the standards of the "high tea" quality. This is a major part of the afternoon so we were disappointed. We still had a laugh and the champers was spot on.

Great value for money, friendly staff and delicious food.

As soon as we said we were there for thurs night special we were not offered anything else.. we were not asked if we’d like to order a drink or any entrees which we would if had we’d been asked...then when we did ask to order a drink we had to chase it up even though there was only 2 other sets of diners there. Food was lovely but service was very ordinary, we were made to feel that we didn’t matter.
