The menu transports you to the New England coast at the upstairs dining room and oyster bar, while the downstairs Den lends itself to a 70s surf shack. I went to the heralded donut brunch and ordered the all-in chicken sandwich which includes 2 glazed donuts, a sunny side-up egg, a fried chicken breast, and house made hot sauce. The donut had some sort of spice sprinkled on top. I wish the donut was just plain. The chicken had a funny taste to it - maybe Old Bay? and was a bit overcooked as was my egg. I didn't like the flavor of the house made hot sauce either. The chicken crust became quickly saturated and started coming apart. I also had fries (very good) and Hair of the Salty Dog cocktail (ok). I wish I had ordered the lobster roll and the Royal Hawaiian cocktail. Live and learn. I would go back, especially for dinner and the oysters.

The food was good and generally everything wasn’t bad but we first went on the downstairs patio and moved inside because of mosquitoes. However they were also inside too. When we asked to go upstairs the server just brought over a citronella candle. My girlfriend and I bought got bit by mosquitoes while dining so that sucked. That was my only complaint. Suggest inside upstairs or maybe the upstairs patio is good. Downstairs just don’t be by the patio door I guess.

Our experience was underwhelming. Lobster roll came out with shells still attached and very cold.

My best friend and I chose to celebrate our 15 year friendaversary at BeetleCat since we LOVE the lobster roll. As usual it did not disappoint! Our server, Walter, went above and beyond with hand written notes to commemorate the occasion. Very nice touch that took the experience beyond our usual.

Had a fantastic time at Beetlecat celebrating my husband & two friends birthdays. The food, as usual, was delicious — they have the BEST calamari (salt & pepper squid), and i could eat oysters all evening. Our server Natalia was wonderful and really went over the top to help us celebrate. Beetlecat is gonna be added to our rotation for date nights.

Took a group here for a work dinner and it was perfect. Phenomenal selection and great service. Drinks were slow, but I’ll blame that on the amount we were ordering. Everything was perfect otherwise. Thanks BeetleCat!
