    The salmon and scallop linguine in a white wine cream sauce was flavourful and delicious. My husband also liked his Mediterranean tomato sauce based pasta. The side salad with fresh toasted walnuts, beets, cucumber was great, too. We had a window seat with a lovely view out over the water. The waiter was efficient and unobtrusive. We returned for brunch the next day. It was a great value for $17. Both dining experiences included a live musician playing recognizable favourites softly on the piano. We will dine at the Bayside Restaurant again.

    Hubby and I ate here for dinner. The experience at this restaurant was amazing. The view is breathtaking, the restaurant is lovely, the service was prompt, friendly and responsive. We ordered the calamari appetizer which was extremely good. We often order it as an appie so we have a good basis of comparison. I had the Salish Seafood Cobb salad. It was very very good - fresh ingredients, well presented and delicious. Hubby had the grilled ahi tuna which had a delicious miso type sauce. We enjoyed this meal a great deal and will recommend it and come again.

    Service was great ! Food came fast and was very good. There was also some live music, which was actually surprising but nice. Bathrooms were also very clean. Enjoyed my time here.

    My wife & I met with another couple for the happy hour special. Got a table with a great view of Parksville Beach. Appies & drinks were very good and great value. Service was excellent.

    This has been our "go to" restaurant for over a year but unfortunately our last 4 visits have been below what we have grown to expect. Ambience and restaurant were still good but the service was not and the food well below my expectations. The pride of having an above average restaurant has been lost, which is unfortunate as good dining is becoming rare. I hope it becomes obvious to management and is able to be brought back to its past lustre.

    An excellent breakfast for the 4 of us but we had a long wait as the restaurant was full so the kitchen was extremely busy. That said, the servers ensured our coffee cups were full while we waited.
