This was our second time at Bar Esquina. We went last year while we were in Cabo and I didn’t remember much about the food but it was beautiful. So we decided to try it again and I’m so happy we did.
The food was excellent. I had cauliflower tempura as an appetizer and it was delicious. My friend had a wedge. My main dish was roasted chicken, which was quite tasty. And my friend had the pepperoni pizza. They have a pizza oven and the pizza was fabulous. My friend had a mango picante cocktail with tequila. One of their specialties. And I had a glass of wine. There was a nice selection of wines by the bottle and by the glass. And the service was great! We’ll be back next year!
Another amazing dining experience at Bar Esquina. The tuna tartar was amazing as always and Chaplin doing an acoustic solo set was the right mix for the evening. Lee, the proprietor was as cordial as ever, visiting all of the tables and making sure everyone was happy. Great service and great food. It doesn’t get much better.
We had a wonderful dinner experience this evening! Abraham and his wait staff took excellent care of my husband and I. I had the diver scollops and my husband had the Catch of the Day, Red Snapper. The service was outstanding, recognized our 5th wedding anniversary and acknowledged a nut allergy. We can't wait to come back on our next trip. Also a fantastic live band played amazing music which added to our great dinning experience.
This is the third time we have been to the Bar Esquina and it is our favorite place in Cabo. The service and vibe of this place is relaxed yet attentive. The food is just spectacular and the drink are the best we've had. We had the Lobster Pasta and the Salmon and both were out of this world. We also had the crab and avocado rolls as a starter and there were amazing. Don't forget the Chocolate bomb for dessert, it's a must have. We just love it here, if you feel like breakfast, lunch or dinner this is a great place to try.
I made the reservation stating I had a garlic allergy, told them when I got there I had the allergy, told the waiter when I ordered to make sure no garlic. I ordered the lamb and they added garlic, I had a reaction and it stuck with me 2 days later. Very disappointed.
Bue ambiente, buen grupo de música! Lugar agradable. La atención de los meseros muy buena. La comida no es la mejor. La costilla braseada, para mi entender y cocinó muchísimo no era costilla. El jefe de cocina se acercó con no buena actitud a cuestionarme porque yo pensaba que no era costilla. Aseguró que si era. Comentó que ellos usan carne magra, la costilla todo tiene menos es una carne sin grasa.
Pero bueno volvería por tragos al bar ya qué hay buen ambiente.
Attracts a great crowd and food is good. I love that spicy shrimp. Bar service is marginal; they pad the bill with unasked for add ons and they are fake friendly. The bartenders need to be more aware of taking care of customers.
The Good, The Bad, and The Disappointing
I visit Bar Esquina every time I come to Lis Cabos. I wanted to introduce 5 of my friends this trip...
1. Hostess Vanessa was awesome. Friendly and attentive. Live music was absolutely lovely.
2. Waiter was painfully slow. Very engaging, but not in a sincere way. In fact, he hovered more when it was time to collect payment than during the meal. Other than that, we relied on passing staff to check on our drinks and meals.
3. Meals: Everyone loved the food--except me! I was so disappointed that my favorite short ribs pizza was covered with arugala to hide the fact that there was almost no meat on the entire pie. And the crust was charred to the point that it was unpleasant.
Not sure I'll plan to visit again. There are way too many great restaurants left to try.
We called before and let them know it was birthday. They failed to remember which was a disappointment because my girlfriend called before to let them know. Sucks when your partner try's to plan a special dinner and the establishment forgets your special day.
