Excellent dinner for 4 at Azur. Great selections across the entire menu. Food prepared to everyone’s liking. Had the lobster and it was fantastic!

My family and I enjoyed every moment at Azur. The service was outstanding. The bartender put on a wonderful show as he made our drinks next to our table. My beef filet with peppercorn sauce was tender and flavorful. My family members also enjoyed their drinks, meals, and desserts tremendously. The noise level was quiet until the talented jazz band played in the center of the restaurant. Five stars!
Very disappointed. We arrived at 7:30 and ordered shortly after. A hour later the waiter came over to let us know the 3 orders of skirt steak was sold out. We changed our order; one grouper which was over cooked and dry, scallops which were barely cooked and short ribs which were salty and tough.
Every order was cold.
Don’t waste your money!!!
Food was delicious. Service attentive but slightly slow. On vaction so who cares?
Great last night eating dinner....had the lobster special and a few also ordered off menu.
The lobster bisque was good but not as good as I’ve had at other restaurants. They lobster and steak special was very good. We asked for Gluten Free bread and was happy to see it was available
The ambience was very nice. We aren’t a huge fan of French restaurants but were able to eat and find what we liked.
Beautiful atmosphere, excellent food, outstanding staff. Off the beaten path and well worth the short walk. Excellent dining experience not to be missed. The Risotto Coquille St. Jacques was superb and the Crepes Suzette delicious. Our favorite restaurant at Vidanta Riviera Maya.
The place is stunning. The food is excellent. The presentation and process took about 2.5 hours, but we went through every course. It was great and made even better by great company, but that part is on you.
Everything about the restaurant was great. The night we went it was busy, but service was still outstanding. The waiter assisted with our menu choices and wine.
Portions are large, recommend going early in the week so you can take the leftovers to your room.

Excellent cocktails food took a while. You would expect it to be cooked as ordered. Frog legs and escargot were good Oysters ok not PEI. Chicken soup was not good. Pastry on top underdone. Chicken in soup was not edible and broth had an odd taste. Lobster bisque was ok. The rack of lamb was good a bit underdone even for med rare. My pork chop was over cooked and very dry. Mashed potatoes were awful veggies were soggy. Scallops risotto was good not great. The cream brûlée was less than average. The crepe Suzette was good very expensive. I don’t mind paying for a delicious meal. This was not that
8:30 reservation, sitting down at 8:35, great welcoming, ordered, what i believed to be a nice of pinot noir, about 4 times as much as retail, but it is fine dining,
...asked for the recommendations, waited about 40 minutes over what was expected for the starter, great result, thought. 35 minutes after here comes, in a “top notch” restaurant, about a half an inch over cooked ribeye steak with whatever is left, after at least of a 10 minutes sitting cold plate of paris buter reibeye steak. Take into consideration that this is a half empty restaurant at 10:30, so for a starter, a bottle of wine and piece of over cooked meat we had already waited about two hrs. The waiting staff was as good as you can get, given the circumstances, but mannn... what a waste of a “romantic night” for a 10 yr/ double 40 yr old anniversary celebretion. What a disappointment, so sad...
Food was great. We were seated right next to open view kitchen. Watching 50% of the chefs eating and chomping the food about to be served not very appetizing.
Everything was terrific, amazing food and setting. The music at night was fantastic and the added mixologist was special.
We had 3 appetizers... Escargot, cheese sampler, and duck pate....all very good
We ordered 5 entries. The organic chicken was delicious. The other four entrées are below mediocre. One (was some sort of pasta with shrimp) Was a lot of virtually untouched. The catch of the day-The portion of the fish that was all was good, but the portion on the bottom was incredibly mushy and had no texture whatsoever.
The restaurant itself is beautiful. And the staff were very nice. The beginning portion of the meal set up the experience to be excellent, but the main course ruined any momentum that had been gained

We, two couples, ate dinner at Azur on our last night at the Grand Mayan on Thursday, March 7. 2019. Atmosphere is awesome, rather small, easy to carry on a conversation. Food was good, although my wife and I both had duck confit, and it was more like just roast duck. A little tough too. Shared a bottle of Bordeaux. We had crepes Suzette for dessert, prepared table side. Excellent. Wonderful way to wrap up a vacation. Used the Vidanta app to make reservations. Easy! We will go back.
An amazing experience. Price was reasonable compared to what you would pay in the States. Carlos was a true connoisseur guiding us through the menu and wine list with ease while making the evening very special. The Casa Madero Cabernet Sauvignon wine which Carlos recommended was perfect with our meal. Our Escargot was delightful both tender and flavorful. The lamb shank and peppercorn steak were prepared perfectly. Dessert was the topper with Carlos preparing Crepes Suzette at the table. My wife loved her Creme Brûlée. An evening my wife and I will never forget.
Very high end restaurant simple but elegant
Food is expensive but it is top quality. Service attentive. Went when Jazz playing, nice volume. The signature cocktails are entertaining to watch being made and very good. I would go again for the good food and experience but a little pricey
The food was incredibly delicious from the amuse bouche to the appetizers. Unfortunately, it took two hours for us to be served two dishes (French onion soup for guest and goat cheese salad for me) and (escargot for her and beef tartare for me). None of these dishes should take particularly long to make, and the length of time between being seated and offered water, getting drinks, even getting the check was so dreadful that we went from planning to come back multiple times to get to try all the lovely dishes to leaving hungry and without dessert because the thought of spending more hours there was not bearable.
This is my second time dining at Azur. It is one of the best restaurants at this resort. It is in a beautiful jungle setting with indoor and outdoor bar/dining and the indoor room is simply stunning with soaring ceilings and massive light fixtures--over the top French Country. This restaurant is known for it's specialty drink menu. All six of us had something different and all were great. They were made table side and took a bit of time but part of the slower pace of the entire meal. Our appetizers were delicious, and generous, pistachio pate and a selection of cheeses which you can get in a selection of four or eight. They were large pieces and four was plenty for two of us. My entree was pasta with grilled shrimp that was topped with frico-delicious. My immediate dining companion had the salmon with rosemary mustard sauce and wasn't as thrilled. No dessert--too full at that point. The bill with drinks was around $101 which by big city U.S. restaurants of this caliber is not bad. However, higher by about $30 than eating there two years ago. Overall we noticed that this resort has raised their food prices across all of their restaurants so going there isn't the food bargain it used to be. However, this is one restaurant on the property not to be missed.
We had fabulous service. The mixology drink with rose petals is a must! First class meal!
The first blow to our experience was the chef's refusal to replace potatoes with vegetables to accommodate a health condition. Then, the food was dry and terrible, but staff was unavailable and uninterested. The staff was very helpful to another table who ordered many appetizers and drinks. We had an expensive disaster of an evening.

Birthday for my wife! They brought her something different than we ordered. Didn’t acknowledge it was a special occasion even though I wrote it in the reservation. I also called to confirm and let them know. We ate there last year on her birthday and it was great. Our waiter David did a poor job of listening.

Our waiter, Carlos, was fabulous. The food was outstanding however the wine wasn’t worth the $90 we pId for it. The restaurant advertised that there was violin music instead there was a mediocre jazz ensemble.

Azur is one of my favorite places to dine. The service is probably the best at Vidanta. Attention is paid to every detail.they serve everyone at the same time so that we don’t have to wait until the last person gets served. The waiters are friendly, professional and very attentive. The food presentation is fabulous so that you eat with your eyes first. The food is always so good, the meats done to perfection, the vegetables well flavored and interesting. It’s expensive! I wish they would provide a table d’hote where you can get a whole meal for less. I would highly recommend it.
Perfect in every way. Asparagus salad was perfectly prepared as was the grouper and chicken main courses. Drinks were expertly mixed and staff very pleasant.
