Delightful outdoor patio. Quiche and salad stellar - almond croissant yes please! Served warm. Ask for cream when they bring coffee-fresh papaya YUM!
Lastima de la mano coordinación entre la seguridad de l entrada de el hotel mas recepción mas los concierge. Tardamos 30 minutos o más en poder llegar al restaurante por su culpa. No habían ha usado a los guardias de la reservación. Nos detuvieron 20 minutos más el tener que llamar al restaurante para que avisaran a l caseta nos dejaran entrar. Muy mala coordinación interna. Cosa que en otros hoteles no pasa
Great dining experience. They played happy birthday for our friend on the piano. Very gluten friendly.

Food was outstanding! Ambiance is beautiful! Our waiter was fantastic, very attentive, polite, timely, all those things. The night was spoiled by our bottle of wine. We buy, order and drink a lot of wine. I ordered a Spanish Rioja (Tempranillo). Upon inspection of the cork, it was clear that it had not been sealed completely, and there were a couple of streaks of stained lines down the length of the cork, and had some crystals on it. I smelled the wine, and it was off some, but trying to be polite, decided to let it air some to see. We were in the restaurant for about 2 1/2 hours, and never drank more than a half glass of the wine. The waiter asked the manger to come over, and as we sat there for 20 minutes, he would look at us some and then continue talking to a waitress. When he finally came over, he smelled and tasted, and again suggested it needed to air, and decanted it for us. Again after an hour, it was still not right, he came over and asked if we were going to drink it, we said no, and he said he would be right back. Well, we waited another 20 minutes, he never came back so we picked up the check and left. We tipped our waiter well, as he was great, but the manager's attitude put a damper on the night. No offer of reimbursement, or another bottle, nothing!
El aire acondicionado muy fuerte
This is our 4th time at Azur. The other 3 were amazing. This time was a disaster.
When we ordered we were told they had no filet Mignon. 3 of the 4 people in the party wanted the filet. We asked if there was any way they could get one from someplace else on the resort and our waiter came back and said no.
Though disappointed we decided to stay and 2 of the people in our party ordered the ribeye for two. A very nice couple came in after us and sat down and also tried to order the filet. They complained more loudly than we did and amazingly were able to order a filet.
When the ribeye came it was horrible. We told our waiter that this was unacceptable, not only because the ribeye was not any good, but because the table next to us was able to get the filet that we were told did not exist. When the manager came over he apologized profusely and then asked us if we wanted the filet. The fact that the ribeye was bad did not make us happy but the fact that the manager then came over and asked us if we wanted the filet, that 20 minutes earlier hadn’t existed was just ridiculous.
I appreciate the fact sometimes meals are just not good but the fact that we were not told the truth because they seemingly wanted us to buy the ribeye instead is totally unacceptable.
I am sad to say we will probably not go back.
Un lugar muy elegante, el personal muy atento, la comida excepcional!! Los vinos, el sommelier y el Chef, todos muy serviciales, sin duda un lugar que no puedes dejar pasar!!! Comida francésa de alto nivel!!!
Restaurant was closed for a private function and didn’t bother to cancel our reservation for six. Totally unacceptable level of service.
The only concern I have is they switch the duck dish from breasts to leg and thigh. This shouldn’t happen at such a fine restaurant. Everything else is what you expect from a high quality restaurant.
Beautiful restaurant .. food was good but it wasn't my favorite .. I would recommend but I probably would try somewhere new next time
Once again, another exceptional restaurant at Vidanta Riviera Maya, this one located in The Grand Luxe part of the resort. The setting is beautiful both inside and out where there is a jazz combo. The food is beautifully prepared but the portions are large so order according. We started with pork and pistachio terrine, then outstanding vichyssoise. I had an amazing pasta au gratin with grilled shrimp and my husband loved his salmon. Our dining companions loved their saffron risotto with scallops. Service was efficient and attentive as all of the premium restaurants are at this resort. With wine and added tip, our bill was $72. Unheard of in the U.S. for this level of dining experience.
Last minute Valentine's Day reservation while staying at the Vidanta. The food was excellent, we had escargot and the crepes as appetizers. Main dishes consisted of the risotto and short ribs, the risotto was out of this world delicious and was a recommendation from our waiter. Thanks again!! ;) Clean dishes with tons of amazing flavor and beautiful presentation. I would be happy having this restaurant in Houston so I can try all the dishes.
If any restaurant should not be on OpenTable, Azur wins handily. We were lured out of our resort for the promise of French food in a bistro environment. Flashback instead to a distant era with patron who have never left - let's call it Playa del Shining.
The decor is tacky, the staff is confused about the cuisine, the food is mediocre and missing key elements of a good French meal.
The manager just didn't care when we complained, making us feel petty and attracting undue attention.
Please avoid at all cost... There is much much better in Playa!
Beautiful restaurant, food is excellent, beverages served perfectly, and the waitstaff AWSOME! Will definitely return when I'm in the area. You won't be disappointed here, the steak was very tender the scallops done perfectly! The only small disappointment was the crepes Suzette's not done table side and not prepared the French way!
