Most beautiful Omakase- everything was fresh, delicious and on point!! Kind and attentive service, felt right at home! If I lived in Mexico City I would be a “regular”!!!

We made a reservation using OpenTable app and when we arrived, they did not honor it nor even attempt to compensate for it. The place is beautiful & the food delicious no doubt. But our experience was fell very short from expectations

The food doesn’t match the price to be honest, we ordered two omakese set and add little bit more other dishes. It was $380 total . I go omakese often in my city but this one not recommended, the food ingredient was alright for a mainland city , but the skills are poorly matching with it . The chef was not from Japan , the sushi rice was loose , deep fried stuff was over cooked that I can’t chew and taste the oil . I maybe little bit picky but usually when you go for omakese you should be able to enjoy the service and serve in-front of you , but believe me if you see how they made it and moving food around , you won’t have appetite . I know this restaurant is highly recommended but just being honest here .

The food was outstanding, but we got kicked out of the restaurant just before 11 pm in a not very gracious way. We understand the restaurant closes at a certain time, but I've never been rushed through dinner and kicked out before, especially in a restaurant in Mexico. I guess the workers there don't care so much about client service as they do about closing up and getting home.

Thought overall the food was good. We got the 14 course omakase that included a couple appetizers and thought those appetizers were a little underwhelming for the price- seaweed salad and a fried fish ball. There were some very unique variations I enjoyed, eel with foie gras and bluefin toro with shaved truffle. Presentation wise, there were things they could’ve done better for a fine dining restaurant, eg, not use plastic plates and clean off the plate of sauce/ soy, or provide a new for each course. We also could have had more attentive service with refilling tea/ drinks.

Very poor service. We were the first customers at the nigiri counter, first to order, nevertheless our nigiris were prepared after other customers. Hostess told us they were under preparation, in front of us sushi chef was preparing other meals! Sushi chefs are very unskilled and impolite, they do not have any kind of training to handle or to be at a counter of a high scale sushi counter. Soba was basically cold ramen! Karubi (beef tongue) was frozen and unevenly sliced, tuna for nigiri was not fresh. For this kind of food, prices and experience this restaurant is not worth it, not even close to the expectation of quality and service deserved.

The sushi and nigiri omakase looked a lot better than the kaiseiki dishes. It's a very hard cuisine to master but unfortunately this was not a good example of a proper kaiseiki meal. Most of the ingredients were pre cooked and came in cheap plastic containers out of which they would make the dishes. Some dishes were served too cold since the ingredients in the containers had just come out of the fridges and most flavors were not interesting at all. The room is beautifully traditional Japanese but the quality of the food is unfortunately not up to standard especially for the high prices one pays to have this kind of dining experience. Stick to the nigiri omakase and you probably won't be dissapointed as with the kaiseiki.

Amazing place!! Real Japanese cuisine in Mexico city. It's really hard to find anything similar in latinoamerica. Not that crowded I don't know why. Amazing place. The master chef Asai is the owner and he is normally there taking personal care of all his clients. 👌👌

Superb place for authentic Japanese fare. Chef Asai is super creative and combines centuries of Japanese culinary traditional with Mexican flavors and ingredientes. Not all Japanese food is sushi. Yes he serves good nigiris, ramen and soba, but the Kaiseki tasting menus are a must. Expensive, but what an experience.

The lunch menu looked really good but was actually dull it tasted like it was reheated the rice was soggy and the fish flaky. On the other side ordered a rice with fish and it was extraordinary. It’s really a Matter of luck you can go really right or not so much
