Music way too loud, told server who agreed it was too loud. It was like electric guitar solos and vocals, instrumentals loud is fine but it was singing in a very nice restaurant. 45 min wait fir food.
I really enjoyed food and environment.
Service and food is good.
Our first time at ARLO, food was amazing, service friendly and we really enjoyed the outdoor dining. Will definitely be back.
The starters were a little one note. The mains were outstanding. Looks like they needed more help in terms of service...low on staff. Common right now. Overall, we'd go back.
I was very disappointed. I went here once before and the food was AMAZING. I have been bragging about it to friends and excited to take some out of town guests. I don’t care how good the chef is, if the service is awful, it doesn’t matter. I felt embarrassed I had spoken so highly of this place when the wait staff seemed to either ignore us or forgot about us. I had to request service just sitting there and then I had to request service a second time after are drink order was taken and a half hour had gone by with no drinks still! If u are slow, at least bring us our drinks. By the time the drinks came they were kind of luke warm- yuck. When our food finally came it was unfortunately kind of cold. Needless to say, I will not be bringing my other out of town guests that I had planned on bring next month now...
Very nice surprise! We are not use to go out in this part of the city and the entire place is amazing.
The cuisine was very unusual, well balanced and beautifully presented. I’ll surely be back soon ! Thanks again for nice service !
The honey dessert is something special, with most chocolate cake, meringue and honey. Enjoyed the BBQ plate, and the potato purée was smooth and delicious. Comfortable seating and friendly service.
Service was good but the food was awful. We waited an hour for cold and poorly presented food. No seasoning on the salmon or the steak. The salmon came in a bowl of bean juice.
Last time I ate here it was outstanding but this time the rib eye that my son had was half the size that I had a couple of weeks ago. My grandson had the chicken fingers which were horrible as there was something in them and he couldn’t eat them. I wanted to send them back but my son wouldn’t let me. Good thing my grandson had eaten pizza in the monkey bar before dinner or he would have starved. By the way the pizza was very good. My daughter in law had a vegetarian dish, the black lava which was very good. I had the halibut with a side of asparagus which was very good. As an appetizer my son had the Spanish pulpit which he liked. His ribeye tasted good but was so small compared to what I had a couple of weeks ago.
Sit outside. Inside is beautiful but outside is fun. For anyone that remembers the old Town & Country Resort, you must come to the NEW T&C Resort.
Hostess was great. Hannah , our server clearly had been trained well. She knows the menu.
Only suggestion is to clans the wine list. Fairly limited.
But overall well worth the visit.
We appreciate the 5 stars!
The setting is so relaxing, make sure to get a seat outside. I got the snowflake cocktail and loved it. The food was great. Overall wonderful date night
Food was divine and inventive. Different from most menu's
Meatballs and sourdough to start is a must!
The s’mores dessert was delicious.
Excellent service, ambiance and food.
A new San Diego gem!
Thank you for the 5 stars!
Hannha was amazing !!
Food was great. Service was nice but very slow and a bit disorganized.
The food here is delicious. So good, in fact, that we ate here 2 nights in a row! We will definitely be back. It would be a great place to go for a date and then sit outside in the courtyard of Town and Country around one of the gas firepits to enjoy a few drinks from the Monkey Bar.
The well done Porterhouse steak was the worse cut of meat and was barely cooked. Fancy names for garbage food.
2 of us had the rib-eye, 1 person had the barbecue and 1 person had the vegetarian entree which had an incredible presentation. All of the food was very good. Wine was good as well. 1 person had the pinto Grigio and 2 person had the Cabernet. 1 person had a mai tai and 1 person had a beer. The pork for the barbecue was very juicy. Unfortunately we had to wait a long time for the food but our server was very good. I would eat there again.
Pro: Seafood charcuterie board was beautiful and good value. Plenty of outdoor seating, good social distancing. Service was friendly.
Cons: Charcuterie board had one very sandy clam. I did not like the porcelet at all (my boyfriend thought it was okay). We could see several buildings under construction and hear children playing in the hotel pool, though the restaurant itself was nice.
Our experience was overall good. One only complaint was that our ribeye was over cooked. We requested med-rare. Otherwise the meal was good. And service was excellent.
Food and service was great. When serving paella, handle should be wrapped. My hand hurt for 2 days because I touched the frying pan handle. Disappointed there wasn't more fish. One scallop? Clam was tough. Would not order again.
Other 7 were happy with their meals.
Great, happy service. A bit pricey, but it was worth it! Nice job.
It was OK overall. The food looks great online, but did not live up to the hype. I had the jerk veggie dish. It's really a large skewer of veggies. I'm not sure what part was supposed to be jerk. I probably wouldn't pay $28 again for this.
It was a great discovery, Sheraton good with a young Chef, with amazing presentation on his plated food that is Delicious, you can feel that the ingredients are fresh and he make this great combination of flavors. We seat outside and you share a big patio area with the Bar, nice and energized vibe!! The service it was very attentive and deserve a really good tip, because they really trying to make your stay the most pleasant
We appreciate the five stars!
I think we must have come on a bad evening. When I originally made my reservations they were booked solid. We got there and we were literally the only group in the entire huge place indoors and outside. Arlo was super cool looking definitely swank. I happen to love Ne Zealand Sav Blanc, was looking forward to trying Momo that is on their menu instead I was offered Kim Crawford then was served the wrong wine all together but they took care of it. We ordered our food and presentation was beautiful. Sadly my husbands dish the Lemon Pepper Halibut, was way over done, very dry. He didn’t say anything until the end. I let the server know and to our surprise it was removed from the bill. Service was outstanding and not just for taking the one plate off the meal but very attentive regardless of the missteps by others on the staff. I’d give 5 stars for the food as my dish the Salmon and Scallops was devine! Worth a try and like I said, must have been a bad night.
Lovely restaurant but just okay food. This restaurant definitely caters to conventioneers. I ordered Paella. But it was just yellow rice with a few mussels, 3 shrimp, and 2 inedible clams. (I chewed for several minutes before I spit it out.) No crusty rice. Drinks are pricy ($15/ea). The side of mushrooms was good. It is unlikely that I will return.
It was a wonderful time. The staff was polite and catered to our needs.
Thank you for the five stars!
We enjoyed excellent food with outstanding service. I highly recommend.
Sat down at 7pm didn’t get apps until 8:15pm, the appetizer we did receive was the octopus which was chewy and we sent back and it came back chewy again. Entree’s we’re pretty solid ( halibut, pork 3 ways and short rib). Deserts took 45 minutes and we’re definitely not worth the wait. The bite size ice cream cookies were as if someone put ice cream in the middle of of two famous Amos cookies. Creme brûlée was solid. Will never come back again. I don’t blame the server but he never did explain or even check in during the long wait for everything.
Overall good place to have a nice dinner at
Good food, good service. Loved the ambience. Just a bit overpriced
Hannah was dope, she made it worth it our time.
Had fantastic service and food and will highly recommend to family and friends. Rigatoni with sausage and short rib was great. Definitely a meal to share. Restaurant is beautiful!
Food was amazing! Tried to get in without a reservation and was refused. Jumped on open table and was seated three minutes later. Excellent ambiance, food choices, etc.
Great ambiance and yummy food! We sat outdoors and they have a beautiful patio seating area.
Enjoyed everything about dinner here. Easy parking in the structure next to the restaurant and validation, so free parking was great. The ambiance was nice and relaxing.
Everyone was very friendly, including our server Brett who was very knowledgeable about the menu and made some good recommendations.
The drinks - ARLO margaratini was good, just a little too much salt on the rim. My husband had the mai tai and he said it was ok.
We really enjoyed our appetizers and entrees- apps were the Pulpo and Passion & the goat cheese ravioli, then we shared the Spaniard flatbread and the lemon pepper halibut, which my husband said was one of the best he’s tried. It was very fresh, nicely seasoned and cooked just right.
Brett recommended the honeycomb chocolate cake which was delish and the portion was just right.
Would recommend giving this place a try.
My partner and I made a dinner reservation for our last day at Tiki Oasis. It didn't appear that we needed to for 5pm but we'd seen so many friends also eating there that it was not a problem and the process was smooth. Upon checking in though, the hostess Monica was acting very erratic, almost drunk. We had a reservation, the party of 4 didn't, yet she struggled to decide who to sit as she got situated with tablet. She never addressed us to our face, she rambled to herself as she walked us to the table and kept talking about how it was hot outside and cold inside (there was AC on). Very strange but luckily Brett was an awesome server with friendly eyes and a good sense of humor. We loved our meal and will be back because we're local, it may be a new special occasion restaurant.
My experience is a unique one due to it being during Tiki Oasis. I was lucky enough to get an outside table overlooking the main stage. So I can't tell you about the ambiance it noise level normally inside. The food was very good and a good value. The service was a bit chaotic because of TO... my food arrived before others at my table who ordered well before me but the staff was very nice.
The food was incredible, customer service was top notch, and the hotel and restaurant are beautiful! We will be back
Worst dining experience my partner and I ever had, and we go out often. We also both work in the business so can give allowances in some circumstances, but this was ridiculous. We were 15 minutes early, our table wasn’t ready, not a problem, we sat at the bar to have a drink while we waited. Bartender asked my partner for his drink order and got it for him before even acknowledging my presence. Host didn’t remember that we were the couple waiting even though we were one of 2 parties at the bar and the other group was a party of 3. Got seated, got menus, waters.. then waited.. and waited.. 20 minutes later my partner stared down what he assumed was a manager and asked “do we have a server?” She had 3 different excuses that got mish-mashed together. She took our order. Few minutes later a server finally approached and confirmed our order. 30 minutes later we finally got our apps. We inhaled our food. Another 30 minutes later my partner went to find the manager to inquire about our food. She was flippant and dismissive. Our server came up about 10 minutes later to tell us it would be another 10 and offered us complimentary drinks while we had almost a full bottle of wine that we weren’t drinking because we were too hungry. When our food finally did arrive, we both inhaled that barely tasting the food we spent $30-$40 on. Our server offered us two free desserts, we agreed, but too little too late. I asked her for something food related when she offered us drinks, but got nothing. Between my partner and I we have worked 45 years in the restaurant business. We know about the labor shortage, we’re also working through it, but tonight was beyond exceptionally bad.
