We went for tea and I most of the experience was not good. I’m used to getting 4 types of tea sandwiches but here there were two-Cucumber/cream cheeses and salmon. There should have been a lot more sandwiches and varieties. Two different scones and a biscuit. There was a nice assortment of pastries. Piano player in the beautiful room set a nice tone for the afternoon but it was sad because the room was so large and there were only 4 tables for tea. Which makes it incredible that our waiter double charged us with our bil for $55 pp but also charged us $205 in a seperate bill for someone else’s tab. When we brought it to head waiter’s attention he tried sloughing it off that he didn’t ring it all the way through yet. That was a lie but he insisted it wouldn’t show up on my husband’s credit card which it did almost immediately. My husband went back down to speak to the waiter about the charge and he got snitty telling him there was no restaurant manager around to ring credit right now- doesn’t seem possible but I wasn’t with my husband to demand a manager and I’m sure I’ll glad to deal with the problem once we get back from vacation. Between not great tea sandwich selection, $55 pp cost and this overcharging lying snitty waiter I say don’t book it.

My wife had an amazing tomato and mozzarella salad and an equally good trout entree. I had the lobster bisque was average and the filet, ordered medium but delivered well done. The atmosphere was pleasant but a little sterile. The waiter was very good. Some of the wines seemed way overpriced while others quite reasonable.

I thought we were going to order from the prix fix menu and decided instead to go a la carte--it was just going to be too much food. We had the Va crab cake for appetizer which was excellent! I had the Rainbow trout almondine and my boyfriend had the chicken. They were both excellent. Servers were very attentive. It was a Thursday night and maybe only 10 tables at 6:45 so we had this big beautiful room to ourselves while the piano player was on the opposite end of the room. Also, no small kids in here which by Friday, was getting to be very obvious that this is a very family-friendly resort.

This was one of the most memorable dinners that my friend and I have ever had. The pianist was fantastic and added to the enjoyment of the evening. The continuous excellent service of the staff was wonderful. I look forward to repeating this fantastic dinner ocassion.

We were very pleased with our dinner meal at the Audubon Room, Homestead Resort. We had excellent appetizers to start, lobster bisque and the mixed greens. I could make a meal of that lobster bisque, very good! For main courses, we had chicken a la vendemmia and the trout almondine. Both were excellent, well prepared, quite a treat for a special meal at this fine resort. Our servers were attentive and friendly without being obtrusive. The atmosphere was pleasant, families and couples, no problem with acoustics. We look forward to a return for a special meal.

Fantastic special occasion dinner here while staying at the Homestead! Gorgeous room, delicious food, and superb service!!! We did the prix fixe option and found it delightful!!!

We had a wonderful experience. Service was a little overwhelmed, but was assisted by other staff. Our food was exceptional. The filet mignon was the best of everything tasted. Beautiful dining room with live piano and dance floor.

Elegant place for a special occasion dinner. Great, friendly service. Outstanding food. Live piano player. The acoustics of the room make it hard to hear the person across the table, so it's not as intimate as I would prefer. But everyone is very nice and we had a good experience.
