I was on the fence but I'm so so happy that we went. The food was to die for and I preferred lunch over brunch for the selection. Strongly recommended.

I've been there many times, every time we have good time, except this time! first, the water and wine glasses smells bad, we asked to replace all the glasses and that took forever, we asked for one bottle of water, we got 3 instead. we got charged $25 for cake service, they cut the cake but we had to put it in plates ourselves, they didn't provide cake lifter. every time we get split check but this time our request been denied.

The Cavapi with eggs and the salmon benedict were the highlight of this brunch! The cheese pie and beet tzatziki are awesome vegetarian options as well.

The ambience and our server for bottomless brunch was wonderful. It was our first time seeing close friends since the pandemic and we had a great experience, with fantastic service, mimosas, and food. Will definitely be back very soon!!

First time at Ambar and I must admit the experience was outstanding. The ambience is pretty nice, the staff was polite and attentive, and best of all the food is amazing. I highly suggest the $35 tapas deal which allows you to taste many of their dishes "tapas style"

Great service and delicious food. They keep distance between the tables, and they have indoor and outdoor seating.

Excellent food as always, but the service left so much to be desired. We had to order the same plate 3-4 times to make sure we got it at least once. The kitchen kept forgetting our order. We were also seated 30 minutes late. The 2 hour time limit really wasn't conducive to an enjoyable lunch. All the delays made us nervous about leaving hungry.

Their tapas never disappoint! Food was fresh and the dishes were very interesting! Our server was very attentive and helpful. We tried few drinks with plum rakija- it was very good.

We traveled here from Nashville and found this restaurant. Amazing they had pick as many small plates as you like for $35 total I think I tried 10 dishes all of them were perfect

Ambar always comes through with a great experience! I love the $35 tasting dinner. Our waitress did a fantastic job of providing a wide ranging selection of delicious foods...and the atmosphere is always festive, in spite of the current constraints.

The only thing I didn't like was that the dining room wasn't very clean. But everything else was wonderful. We are from Bulgaria and we really enjoyed the Balkan food.Our server Marina was the best!

Highly recommend this restaurant. The downstairs is really chill with a nice atmosphere. Good cocktails and great food... small plates a la carte or prix fixe. Excellent variety and fresh ingredients.

Food was amazing! It was difficult at times to get the servers attention as she was basically the only one working the downstairs room. We will return!

One of our favorite dinner spots in Clarendon! We enjoy the popular restaurant's upbeat vibe and the outstanding Balkan cuisine and service. We like sitting at a high top table in the bar area. We always have the Ambar Experience so that we may sample many of our favorite dishes. The Beet Tzatziki spread is our favorite starter paired with the Kale Caeser and the warm baked breads. Our favorite vegetables are the roasted Brussel Sprouts and the Roasted Cauliflower. We like both of the flatbreads and usually order the Sudzuk. We love the Salmon, the Beef Short Rib Goulash, the slow roasted lamb and the Lamb Lasagna. What a delicious menu! We enjoy sampling everything on the menu but these are our favorites. We always enjoy our dinners at Ambar and never tire of the delicious Balkan cuisine and the outstanding service.

Fabulous concept and food, however, the wait staff lacked attentive. Also, several of our ordered plates never arrived. By the time the waitress returned to us (about 25 minutes later) we decided to request the check and not re-order the plates we initially requested.
