The food didn't disappoint but the noise level was seriously too loud when wanting to talk. Half the volume of the music would have still been classed as loud. We all left without dessert because we were so annoyed.
This was an amazingly delicious experience combined with excellent wine advice - would have gone back on Monday but they were not open!
Cute little restaurant tucked away + delicious food!
It was so much fun - amazing service - great food and the best dirty martini EVER
An outstanding dining experience, one which we will happily repeat.
Great evening with friends , busy vibe for a Sunday night. Great service, floor & bar.
Our first time to Alberto's Lounge and will be back. Already told a number of friends who no doubt will try for themselves.
The music was to loud made it to hard to hear others talking
Fantastic experience - friendly service, every dish delicious, cosy corner table and they were very patient- even with a couple in our party being late but we were not rushed out at all. It's not cheap but it really is something special.
Excellent restaurant. Simple food with great flavours and a super wine list. Magnificent service
Amazing food, great service and clean with a warm atmosphere. Hidden gem
Only for the young, thin and those with extremely good hearing. But seriously- great service, yum food, great cocktails.
Went here for my partner's birthday. Great flavours, attentive staff, lovely ambience.
As soon as we entered we knew this was going to be a great time! Amazing staff with exceptional service, the wine list was outstanding and then the food, WOW! Just freaking WOW! Brilliant!!! Authentic and delicious. We will definitely be back again.
There fir our daughters birthday ... everything was amazing as per usual .. even managed to put her favourite dish on as a special .. spaghetti vongole. So if course we had to order 2. Peppers amazing as usual and all of us had the tongue which was a revelation. Perfect dish
Fun night out with girlfriends
Great advice on wine selections
Friendly and efficient service
We were five pax and were seated at a table for four, squeezed in between two other tables of two pax each, either side of us.
None of us had any elbow or leg room we would need to eat and allow blood flow to our legs. Also, our conversations would have been heard by our neighbours.
The maître d’ was unable to find a larger table and commented that our table was big enough for six pax.
So, we left without being able to sample the quality of the food, drink, or service.
I worked in restaurants in the 70’s and there was more room and less volume to the ambient music.
Maybe when my wife and I next dine one weekday evening, we might think about trying Alberto’s Lounge.
Until then, adieu.
Great restaurant!! What a find!!
The food it’s incredible !!
Alberto's Lounge is 'must visit' for everyone. The food, wine, service and ambiance cannot be faulted. The music was a little loud for my liking though would not turn me off returning again and again.
Cool vibes, measured level of service (attentive but not painful), and the food was exceptional. The tongue dish was outstanding.
Amazing food and service thank you.
Great meal - Go now it’s too tasty not too. Great service to top it off
It’s hard to write a review on Alberto’s mainly because it has positives & negatives. What we did like was the food and the outstanding professional staff. What we disliked was the noisy squishy venue and the limited Sauvignon Blanc list.
The food was delicious especially the bread, prosciutto & the John Dory.
We had probably the best meal we have had in a long time. The tripe was the winner tonight. Fantastic service and overall couldnt fault it. If only all restaurants were as good!
Absolutely delicious, great atmosphere, bopping tunes and friendly service.
Amazing food along with expert advice matching people to food and wine all in fabulous venue! One of our favourites
This is a cosy little place, great atmosphere, service and food, lots of gluten free options.
Great service, fabulous food.
Wonderful food, interesting menu, excellent wine list! Love this place!
Great service and atmosphere, food suggestions from the staff were terrific , very accommodating when we arrived early, tongue and anchovies were to die for !
We were disappointed with our experience at Alberto's Lounge. There were too many people crowded around tables that were far too small for a place serving food - more like a very crowded noisy pub which is fine if that is what you are after. The food was of good quality but was far too rich and salty for our liking and did linger for quite a while on the palate. The staff had difficulty catering to the number of people in the restaurant and while good considering the constraints imposed on them, the standard customer lines did seem a little false.
We had a beautiful evening at Alberto's, the food is beautifully done, and the restaurant fit-out is warm and classy - film posters on the wall making no pretense of the taste and humour beneath everything. The wine list is fantastic and immersive, exploring contemporary edges of Italian winemaking and it's funky neighbours in Slovenia, Georgia, and Croatia. Floor staff's knowledge and enthusiasm was exciting, casual and well informed. The busyness of the service felt on the brink of controlled chaos; being greeted/seated by the bar to await our table, then feeling a little ignored as a crush of guests arrived in a crammed entrance-way. We loved the Trippa alla Romana - such a rich depth of texture and savour, faintly curry-like, then tart, sweet and warming.
We spend three months every year in Lucca, Italy primarily to enjoy the food. Alberto’s Lounge could happily relocate to Tuscany and even the Italians would not complain! Complimenti. My only criticism would be the noise in the restaurant.
Great staff, very knowledgeable and helpful with recommendations.
Venue and decor was spot on too. Food is very authentic Italian, all dishes were great.
Cool venue. You wouldn’t recognise the old Berta site. Excellent pasta & great Italian driven wine list. We will definitely be back.
$5/head charges for sparking water *without* notification - it was offered together with still water, both served from recycled wine bottles.
Music was too loud for conversation without shouting.
Food was good quality but overpriced.
Service was good but pretentiously bohemian aloof.
Lovely ambience, romantic even though the tables were quite close to each other. Pasta is amazing, one of the best Italian restaurants around
Alberto’s has a lovely atmosphere with great food and service. Loved it!
