Everything we had was excellent! Our favorites were the chocolate mutabbal, manakish, and tandir, but everything was delicious. Thanks to our waitress Leslie for the recommendations!

Kim did a phenomenal job as our server! She was so much fun and very kind! She wanted to make sure we got our money’s worth for brunch and introduced us to new menu items we may not have otherwise tried. We loved them all!

I am always pleased when I visit this restaurant. Great aesthetic, food, wonderful drinks, and even better service.

The service was really quick, but not rushed. The food was extremely creative and flavorful

$39 for unlimited tapas and drinks. This brunch was even better because you could order Champagne, mimosa, whiskey, vodka, wine, and beer!

Ala was overall a good restaurant with nice ambience and decent food. This restaurant was previously Ankara, which, in my opinion, was actually better. The food took a hit when the menu changed. The service at Ala was alright. There were a few instances where we had to ask for bread/water/drinks multiple times, but the manager was very nice and brought us an extra dessert as a result. Worth a try if you want to find a new spot, but it wouldn't be at the very top of my list.

Great service, wonderful food.

The staff was very helpful in helping us decide as the menu was a little confusing to someone who had never dined there before. Unfortunately, they were out of the drink that we were really looking forward to. Plenty of both outdoor and indoor seating.

Ala was fantastic. Kim is one one of the best servers we’ve ever had. She was so accommodating and quick. I understand the restaurant was busy that day but she was still attentive caring and went above and beyond to make sure all 3 of our party tables were taken care of. My friends and I did the bottomless brunch here and the food and drinks were both equally as incredible. The food was fresh, tasty, and kept coming as we ordered. The bottomless brunch allows more options for you other than just mimosas which is a huge game changer for ppl who prefer different types of drinks. Will be going back again soon!

So much food! I went for a girls' dinner and we shared family style. After plate 2 we felt stuffed! The drinks were beautiful and we received complimentary shots from the bar :)

We did the bottomless drinks but the server rarely came around to get us more drinks that it was not worth the price for what we actually got. We also did not receive itemized receipts which was not great considering our totals (even including tip) did not seem accurate for what we ordered. The food and atmosphere was very nice but the service and payment methods need serious work.

Their $39brunch menu was pricey, but it was a great way to try dukkah benedict and Levantine fusion delights in unmatched authenticity. Our waitress was so attentive, I almost felt like I was disappointing her by not ordering more food!

We went for the first time on Sunday. We had theziyafet experience and it was so good! I even ate Dukkah Chicken ! so yes...go try them out. You will not be disappointed!

I had an opportunity to taste the highlights of ala's new menu and I love it. New menu is very creative, mouth-watering and authentic. I had 3 cocktails which were all delicious. I like spicy things so my favorite cocktail was Golden Horn. The new ambiance is colorful and cozy. The staff were very hospitable and kind. Overall, I highly recommend ala and I would definitely come back!

First of all, I am a big fan of Levantine cuisine and ala's new menu is excellent if you like Levantine food! I am a vegetarian thus I love the way that they modify some of the best and remarkable Levantine dishes for their vegan and vegetarian guests. The new selection of Levant wine is fabulous, especially if you like trying new things! Their new desserts are so tasty, especially "Halva Mousse". Overall, I highly recommend ala for every occasion.

This was a random selection for dinner (my favorite kind!) and I LOVED it. I had several of the cocktails and one food item from each category. Recommend to anyone! Service was great, one of the cooks or maybe the main chef came and asked me how everything was and I could see the sincere satisfaction in his face when I told him how good it was.

First time here on Valentine's Day evening. We had a wonderful time. The food was delicious and we enjoyed our evening there.

Great service despite being busy during brunch time, and our server brought out the most popular dishes for the bottomless brunch (so we didn't have to make decisions) and it was all wonderful!

Easy to reserve a table via their website. Food was divine and the service was great. Our server was super sweet and was checking on us very often! Since we visited during the restaurant week, we could order up to eight courses so our server was very helpful and recommended great dishes.

Everything was very nice. I came for restaurant week and it was such a great deal. The food was so good. My favorites were the spinach and feta flatbread and the lebaneh was to die for!

Wow! A small plate and craft cocktail paradise. The cocktails were superb and the food is flavorful. My favorite dish is the hummus and halloumi. The cozy and aesthetically pleasing ambiance makes you feel like you aren’t in DC's regular restaurants anymore. You know a restaurant is good when you are planning your next visit back before you’ve even left the table!

We really enjoyed the food and drinks. The customer service was phenomenal. A great overall experience and I would definitely return for another meal. Parking is not a problem in this area since street parking is free all around DC. They have both indoor and outdoor seating.

Ate here randomly last night and it was incredible! The food was out of this world and large portions for the price. We had two appetizers and shared the main course and had leftovers. Also, great service for being shorter staffed during Covid.
