This is an excellent restaurant with nice ocean views. It is a relaxed and casual setting.
Wonderful and special dining experience. Very private and romantic! Beautiful resistant. Wonderful service by all.
We have been here many times. The food and service are always consistent- Outstanding!
I made a reservation for an special occasion , outdoors seating . They requested credit card for reservation and by the time we got there they said we don’t have any outdoor table available, which they could have mention or call earlier to let us know and gave us a table in an indoor area without ventilation .
Also no mention of the occasion we were celebrating, which was a Birthday of a friend .
I love traveling and I love food and trying different restaurants , but I will not go back to this restaurant again .
Having dined here many times we were very disappointed upon our last visit. The food is normally wonderful and service above and beyond. This time we were let down in both areas. Jorge our server was flat, uninterested in our party and never around. No one came to ask how our meal was. I had to literally wave other servers down to clear our plates and take our dessert order. Wine glasses sat empty on the table with a full bottle of wine in a nearby wine bucket. I had to retrieve the bottle myself at one point. The salads and soups were very good but the main entree’s were average on this visit. A minimum of 3 tables that came 30 min after us came and left before we even received our dessert menus and we weren’t dragging our meal. Our plates sat in front of us finished for 30 min. The restaurant wasn’t overly busy either. Definitely not to receive such poor service and at the prices this restaurant charges. I did speak to a manager on our way out just to let them know how let down we were on this dining experience. Given that I normally enjoy the restaurant I will probably return and give them another chance. I will make mention of my terrible experience the last time.
Always go to a dinner here when go to Cabo. The staff is beyond kind and it’s gorgeous!! It’s also kid friendly.
Went to celebrate our honeymoon and it was the best meal I’ve eaten in a long time. Excellent wine menu, tender beef tips, perfectly cooked shrimp, delicious dessert. Ocean sunset... everything was perfect
Our new favorite place!!
My husband and I visited Cabo as a continuation of our 17th year anniversary the week prior. We picked Agua as our special dinner date location due to positive reviews by local experts & websites. We really enjoyed our dinner at Agua. Service was excellent, from the time we arrived at One&Only Palmilla until the time we left. When we arrived the main entrance area, we were greeted with professional & friendly people. We were asked if we would like a golf cart ride to the restaurant, or would we rather walk. We opted to walk & we were escorted by a lovely middle aged lady who is employed in the company for almost 15 years. She gave us some history of the hotel & the property (beautiful grounds!) and we just had a lovely conversation with her. At the restaurant, we were escorted in a two-seater overlooking the bay of the Sea of Cortez. It was just romantic! The waiter & wait-staff were very courteous & pleasant and the restaurant Manager came to introduce himself & offered to take our photos. Food are Mediterranean inspired, unique & delicious. We highly recommend Aqua and would happily come back next time we are in Cabo.
Had an amazing anniversary dinner tonight at Agua. Excellent service and next level experience.
We sat at a table overlooking the bay. It was a one in a million view. Food was excellent, service was amazing. Can not say enough about the entire experience
Impeccable service and excellent food! Great ambience
Wonderful food, beautiful setting, and exceptional service
There is no more beautiful place to have lunch in all of Cabo. Palmilla is a gorgeous resort, with an emphasis on service. They remodeled after Hurricane Odile and while the new contemporary look is lovely, I do miss the beautiful open kitchen with lots of copper and tile work. An Agua reservation gives you a chance to walk from the reception area to the restaurant through the gardens, spa area, gift shop and pools. Beautiful. The outdoor dining area at Agua affords you one of the best oceanfront views you can find in San Jose--it's gorgeous. The menu is not that inspiring or different, the food itself is perfectly acceptable and the presentation is lovely. . . and it is EXPENSIVE--even by luxe resort standards. I consider the $$$ the price I pay for admission to a great spot to spend the afternoon. Service is very nice, very professional. It's just that Cobb Salad is Cobb Salad and Tortilla Soup is . . . sort of boring. Hoping for something a little more contemporary? Go somewhere else. Satisfied with high-level, corporate dining? Eat here and enjoy the view.
Such a beautiful restaurant. The service was impeccable and we were a table of 8. They accommodated every special request and we had 4 young children with us. The location is beautiful! There was lovely live music but it was just the right background volume. I wished we had gone sooner in our trip so that we could have eaten there again. Perfect!
We dined at Aqua by Larbi as a family (of four) on the final evening of our vacation. As many have noted in other reviews, the location is breathtaking, the ambience spectacular. We enjoyed a well prepared aperitif at the bar, and then were seated for dinner. The service (at every stage of the process) was impeccable; in particular, our main server, Antonio, handled our dinner service with great expertise and true professionalism. While some of the dishes that we ordered were not, perhaps, as well executed as we may have been expecting, the evening overall was very enjoyable. We will return the next time we are in Cabo.
The food was good, but not Michelin star. The prices were too high. The couples I was there with were hesitant to order salads or drinks because the prices were so high. We visit high-end restaurants here in Northern California. Their prices are not as high as Agua, and the food is substantially better. The ambiance and grounds at Agua are impressive. Perhaps this causes the over-pricing of the dining.
Spectacular location, exquisite food preparation, wide selection of wines and attentive service that struck the right balance of privacy and our needs. Celebrated a special anniversary here because we knew they would get it right. We were not disappointed!
One of our favorite restaurants in Cabo. Incredible views, wonderful food and warm hospitality in a lush tropical setting.
Very nice. Service was amazing, atmosphere was great and the food was very very good. They had a children's menu which is important when traveling with a young picky eater. We would definitely eat here again.
Honestly, this was an incredible experience! Our server, Benito was attentive and knowledgeable. The rest of the staff followed his lead with one of the best service and dining experiences ever. Thank you for the great table, food and service!
Awesome evening. Great service to.match the food quality.
The atmosphere, the service and especially the food was truly exceptional.
This restaurant is not only beautiful, the food is outstanding. They do not overlook any details to make the experience equal the amazing food. It is definitely pricey, however, it will be a special occasion you will not forget. The hotel grounds are outstanding as well. Ask for a quick tour on your way to the restaurant.
AMAZING location...love it and visit every time we're in Cabo
Just spectacular, all around! Thoroughly beautiful setting with a fantastic menu. Service was great as well.
Food was good but not worth the price. Beautiful atmosphere and great service but nothing extraordinary from a culinary perspective.
best meal I have had in San Jose this season and I have been here for many years
Chef did an amazing job cooking the fish we caught that same day.
Love the atmosphere. The service was excellent, the food delicious.
Magical evening. Ambiance, the view and the service outstanding. Food also fabulous although costly. Would highly recommend for a special occasion. Ask for table by the water.
Disappointing dinner experience. Service was sub par - waiter was apathetic at best. Lousy attitude and service overshadowed the food. Will not return.
I didn’t enjoy my sea bass, it was dry. There wasn’t a great selection of food to choose from and it was so overpriced, I didn’t want to go back and we’re staying at the resort, but all the restaurants at this resort are so overpriced and the choices so narrow that we will not return to this otherwise wonderful resort. Ex pricing is at least double what it would be at a nice restaurant.
The best of a week of fine dining in the Cabo area. Went three years ago and had to go back on this trip. The hotel grounds are spectacular though hotel security may keep you from a couple areas. Regardless, go before sunset, walk to the Restaurant from your car/taxi, have a drink at the beautiful bar first, then absolutely get an outside table.
Food is top notch, incredibly good Tuna Tartar wrapped in avocado, Seafood Risotto, Octopus.
Get help on your wine. can be very, very pricey but they can steer you to some less less expensive very good ones.
I would recommend but I would warn them about the VERY high prices. $29 for salad is just too much. Appetizers were nice and presentation of main entry was nice.
Great night with friends
We own a home in the neighborhood and we(and several other neighbors) have been extremely disappointed this season.
- The menu has become very dull and
Doesn’t change enough. It used to have more Mediterranean inspired dishes- curry, tagines, etc. which is what made Agua unique. Now it is predominantly seafood and Mexican. We can get that at most other restaurants in the area.
- The service is just ok. They rushed us to order and then after the appetizer we waited well over an hour for the entree. Some don’t keep up with pouring the wine and clearing dishes and glasses.
- The corkage fed is EXCESSIVE. BTW- if the wine list was at all reasonable we would not have to bring our own wine. No one wants to pay $300 for a $50 bottle of wine.
- The music....trumpets are not relaxing!!! Here you have one of the most serene settings in all of Cabo and the music is terrible. Mariachi style bands and the contemporary ensemble with the trumpet player do not provide an enjoyable ambience.
Take a cue from Flora Farms or La Lupita and hire better musical groups who would enhance rather than detract.
If you are going to charge $30 for a salad and $50+ for entrees you need to improve in all these areas Pronto.
I had Seabass that was rubbery and didn’t go well with the bean garnish. It was way overpriced for the quality of the food. Would not return.
