We were seated right away for obvious reasons, for reserving a spot. We were seated in a closed room that had other tables too, but was suffocating at the same time. Brunch was delicious ( waffles & champagne) .Overall me and my family had fun especially being my dads birthday as well.
I loved the management and waiters they were on point and ready for my group of 8. My only luck was there was another bigger group there and made too much noise I think they were playing games and it was more then just a bday celebration. But besides that everything was amazing food and music and seating and the cute dessert bar
My family of 9 people and I went on Mother's day, we arrived on time and our table was ready for us so we had no waiting! and we were so shocked how attentive our waitress was. Overall best restaurant experience for the family. Highly recommend!
I made a reservation a week in advance for mother's day. My mother in law cannot sit or stand for too long so I thought making a reservation would be best to avoid the wait. I called fifteen min. before the reservation to say we were on the way but may be five minutes late. They told me the wait for a reservation was already at an hour or more. This made no sense to me as it defeated the purpose of a reservation. So we canceled and went somewhere better. If you know you can't accommodate the principles behind a reservation, even on a holiday, perhaps you shouldn't have the option to make them on days like that.
Acapulco has always been a good spot for Sunday brunch. Great selection and a reasonable price. However, having to wait an additional 30 mins with reservations placed more than 2 weeks in advanced seems harsh. I understand it was mother's day. However, every restaurant sees an influx of clientele and accommodates accordingly. The waiter would disappear and wasn't attentive for the drinks portion.
It took 90 minutes, yes an hour & a half to get our food. I ordered a cup of chicken tortilla soup as an appetizer and got it (5) min before the food came out. My meal was Salmon & veggies, the fish was dry. My husband ordered the seafood pozole, the bowl was HALF full & the majority with homony. My mom ordered chicken & shrimp fajitas, LOTS of onions on the plate, with 4 strips of chicken & a few shrimp. My sister ordered the combination plate her taquitos had no guacamole & the waitress said that's how it's served!. The only thing with out fail was my dad's dessert. I realize it was Mothers Day. But, if they're not equipped to handle the busy load & don't have enough food they should be up front with their customers (before going in). We know we're bound to wait a LONG time to sit down. But once you're inside, it shouldn't take 90 min for your meal, get a bad food experience , not the amount of food you're paying for, get an appetizer 85 min later, wait for ever for drinks & yet pay $30 a plate!!!!.
As always the food was good but the service was excellent. You can find decent food anywheree but finding excellent service is what sets this place apart. Everyone from the hostesses, the servers, bushelp and cooks are all polite and attentive. It is also a plus and says alot to see the managers always on the floor interacting with the staff and customers but more importantly assisting anywhere, everywhere and anticipating your next request before you even know it.
When I arrived to the Resturant the host did not know about my reservation for 19 people. I had received two email confirmations I figure I did not need to call to confirm. Despite, this situation they were able to accommodate a table for us. The food and service was good overall.
The service was outstanding!!! Went for Sunday brunch and i was impressed of the different offerings worth the price. We were greeted the moment we arrived, they keep us updated on the progress of our table, our server was wonderful, very helpful and always found a way to get to a yes. I had been to this place before and the service was good but whatever customer service training they did with the restaurant remold took them to the next level.
While the food took more than an hour to be served and consequently it was served cold. The manager took action , asked for our overall service ? We explained how food was cold and served with onions even though we asked for no onions. He made sure we left the place happy and not disappointed, since mistakes do happen.
They have just remolded and have a wonderful outside bar, but the noise level is crazy. It is hard to hear what the other dinner guests that are with you say. The dinner was Thanksgiving and while the Turkey was very good, they only had one vegetable dish, and it did not look good. The mash potatoes were too salty and I love salt so I was shocked. There was three different drinks to choose from besides the general soda and coffee. Lots of Mexican food, but I wanted Thanksgiving food also. Well over all it was OK.
