Abruzzo Italian Kitchen opened in December 2017. As is the Italian tradition, our focus is on the quality of our ingredients and simplicity of preparation. We cook by hand, from scratch, including all of our fresh pastas and wood fired pizzas. In addition to the Italian staples, we offer an extensive shared plates selection, grilled steaks, fresh seafood, and a small but decadent dessert list, all prepared in-house and served alongside an Italian-focused cocktail program and an Italian-centric wine list. Hospitality is the core of what we do: our staff is warm, genuine, knowledgeable, and attentive, and we pride ourselves on creating memorable experiences for every guest that walks through our doors.

We love this restaurant but tonight it was not up to par. The main issue was our server, Dan. He was not engaged and barely delivered service to us. He was quite the dud and unfortunately, it was reflected in his tip. Your server is half of the experience and he was having either an off night or needs to look elsewhere for work. Our meals however, were delicious. We shared a cauliflower appetizer which was fantastic, full of lots of garlic which we both love. For dinner I ordered the Seafood Meal. It was tasty though too rich for me. There were nice sized shrimp served along with a good serving of tiny Bay scallops. I was hoping for Atlantic scallops but considering our location it was satisfying. My husband’s Bolognese dish was spot on.

Great service and recommendations for the food. The meatballs were fantastic and Chilean Sea Bass special was flavorful and cooked perfectly. Lasagna was more than a normal person could eat but was tasty. Best meal we had in Whitefish (ate there 3 nights).

Always a great place to dine. The only issue is they have started to charge a percentage to use a credit card which is a cost most businesses just put in their price. I understand it is a cost of business but adding it on the bottom of the bill instead of building in your prices seems very petty. There is a cost to a business handling large amounts of cash and thus may create other problems for them.

Food was excellent! We split the calamari, Caesar salad and the lasagna. All were delicious. Server was very attentive. I would recommend this restaurant.

We were here twice this summer, if that is any indication of how much we like this place. The service and food were phenomenal both times. The only thing I would mention for others is, if you want a specific table make sure to call and let them know, otherwise they are pretty strict and will not let you pick a table due to reservations being tight. Other than that we will always come here when we stay in Whitefish.

We got the Salmon special and it came out still swimming. Sent it back to get over cooked. Our bartender did nothing nor even ask if there was something she could fix or comp. We payed $103 for two glasses of wine, a paper plan, and inedible Salmon. Will not be returning.
