   We had a reservation for today and arrived about 15 minutes early. Upon arrival, we were shown to our assigned seating area (A high top table). Unfortunately, due to a medical reasons, I wasn’t able to sit at the table originally selected for us. When I explained the situation to the hostess, the manager, Kim, stepped in right away to help. Although we had to wait a bit longer than expected for a suitable table (which caused extra work for the hostess because they had to shuffle future guests/tables around), the staff was kind, understanding, and kept us updated throughout. Once we were seated, the excellent service continued. Our server, Kala, was warm and attentive, and made sure we were well taken care of-She gave great recommendations for the food and drinks. It was truly refreshing to experience such courtesy, compassion and professionalism. I sincerely wish more restaurants showed this level of care. A Great big thank you to Kim, Kala, and the entire staff at 243 South for making our first visit a great one. Pros: Attentive hostess, excellent waitstaff, and a responsive, caring manager. Food was Amazing and perfectly prepared. Cons: The dining room and music were a bit too loud as we could not communicate with each other without raising our voices.

   We absolutely loved our first time experience! Will definitely continue to visit for our date nights and special occasions.

   Food was good, but the restaurant was uncomfortably loud. Granted, we went on a Friday night but before the “late night drinks” portion of the evening. The music was so loud we couldn’t hear the waitress or anyone else at our table. Everyone in the restaurant had to shout to hear each other over the music, just seemed way more like a bar than a restaurant.

   We had sat for a few minutes before anyone saw us and they were SO apologetic and sweet about it. It wasn’t even a long wait!! The vibes, the food, the drinks-everything was amazing! Love this place and cannot wait to go back!!!

   We arrived on time. We were seated at a table and then the young lady told us we had to move because the table was reserved for a party of 4. So we were moved to the table with another couple on a date. 10 minutes later, a couple was seated at our original table. Then another couple about 30-40 minutes later. I didn’t understand and felt lied to, but the couple we were seated with didn’t bother us and we didn’t bother them. The seating isn’t ideal, you are placed with random people and it’s difficult to have a private conversation with the dining companion. To top it off, our table was a couple feet from the bar so the people getting up and down, going back and forth was a little off putting.The spot is very small so I understand why, but if you like having personal space, it won’t happen here. The food was amazing! The portion sizes are very small for the price point i.e., I ordered garlic confit mini carrots and I was served 4, but again, the food was really good! The waitress didn’t know the menu…” The catch of the day is Branzino and it’s topped with something…I don’t know”Manager, Kim was kind and did I say the food was phenomenal? Give that chef a raise!! We will return as long as the cook doesn’t leave.
