Food is always great. We were a bit disappointed with our server. It was our 35th wedding anniversary and we chose to have dinner here to celebrate. We sat for 20 minutes without our server even coming over to offer to get us drinks or appetizers. He waited on others around us and left us for last.
It is always a pleasure dining here. Food is great, service is excellent.
We always have a great meal when we go to Osteria Romana. The music is a bonus. We always enjoy and sometimes we bring friends!
Food and service were excellent. It is painfully loud in the restaurant. If you are going to catch up with friends, I would not recommend.
I love Osteria Romana! Fresh pasta and sauces are amazing! Everything there is delicious!
Great restaurant. Quality dishes and great staff . Always a great experience
We celebrated our four year anniversary here and they went well above and beyond to make our date night special. We are truly grateful to Ron for making it such a wonderful night for us as we don’t get to go out too often by ourselves due to our little ones. We loved all the food we ate as well. We can’t wait to go back and try out the Sunday Brunch. Thank you again!
Came here for a 88th birthday brunch and arrived fifteen minutes early. We were seated in the most cramped area of the restaurant near the hostess area, where we were watch and blocked continuously by hostess duties to our seats.
Service was fair. My son’s waffle was forgotten and we had to request our made to order omelettes. Other tables seemed to have gotten the bulk of the attention and were accommodated with regular service by the staff.
Overall, food wasn’t bad; it was good. But I’ve had better brunches elsewhere in a more congenial atmosphere.
Began with the mozzarella app with arugula-delicious and food mix of flavors. We had the bucatini and the chicken in the champagne sauce-both were flavorful and good size portions with fresh ingredients!
Dinner with out of town family. Very comfortable and delicious. We enjoyed our meals and wine. Thanks to great wait staff, hostess and bartender. 😊
Outstanding food and friendly/professional service!
Second time we were there. First time...service was much better. Felt we were being rushed this time. Food wasn’t as good. Lasagna was terrible. When we spoke to server about it he walked away with no solution. Disappointed.
An absolutely amazing brunch! We loved that custom omelettes, French toast, pancakes and waffles are ordered through the waitstaff so you don’t have to wait on a line! The buffet included an impressive raw bar, Italian lunch choices and desserts with great quality all you can drink bloody mary’s and mimosas. Background music was really nice too. We are looking forward to coming back soon!
We took some friends to Osteria for the first time and they enjoyed it. There was a beet salad with whipped goat cheese on the menu that was wonderful! Dessserts here are not always the greatest, but the gelato is quite good.
Always an incredible meal and experience...
Consistently delicious with attention to detail. Service is good. That’s all you need!
Always an excellent meal.
Great service and a friendly atmosphere.
This is by far one of the best brunches ever! The food was fresh, temperature appropriate and simply yummy! There is a limit of 2 hours but that is more than enough time to eat, drink, enjoy without feeling rushed at all. We are already planning our next visit!!
We love this restaurant! The food is always amazing. The service is always exceptional. They are family friendly without feeling like you’re eating at a chain restaurant. It truly is a special place and we always look forward to going here because we know it’s a guaranteed great dining experience!
Osteria Romana (Monroe, CT) is a fabulous respite from the daily grind. Luscious foods prepared with the care of grand ma! Certainly we have our favorites, (The beef carpaccio app for instance -huge portion with superb flavors), but we TRY to have something different every time these days- result: we have been so impressed with the breadth of awesomeness we have received. Had the Prix Fixe menu last time, so a dessert was included, (pistachio cheesecake) oh so good. The Pappardella they know the food items inside & out - a pleasure. Finally when it comes to wines they have a great and unique selection, allow recommendation as well. This allowed us to try a Super Tuscan WHITE wine, yep we thought they were always red too. Fantastic. Yep, om 2nd and last Tuesday of the month a superb guitarist, Chris Kalafus, plays for your dining pleasure. Perfecto!
Gratziano came to our table and chatted with us. He is a gracious and hospitable guy. He made sure we enjoyed our tune in his restaurant and treated us extremely well.
The service and food is exceptional!
Food great, choices on the prix fixe menu well thought out, the service as always was the best.
LOVE this restaurant. It’s my go- to with hubby or night out with friends. This last visit was with 4 girlfriends to celebrate bdays. Food was awesome (innumerable excellent choice options) and Ron was a great waiter...as always The ambiance is perfect. Love it!
Glad we sat on the veranda, the main dining room is very noisy plus they had a guitar player. Fortunately, they called to ask where we wanted to sit, that was great. Food was excellent as was the service.
Loved it! I will definitely go back!
Service and food were fantastic.
Food was great, 3 different people came over to ask if we had been taken care of. Was very busy, the only downfall was being sat at a tiny table and one chair was somewhat in a walkway for people and servers.
Food, service and atmosphere
Will return soon
Great food and service.
Our first trip for dinner as we usually go fo lunch. Our main meals were excellent. We had the clams casino for an appetizer and I would pass on them in the future. Having said that we continue to really enjoy dining here.
WOW!!!! The pasta was the best I’ve ever had in my life.
The food at the Sunday brunch is very good. There is a nice variety to choose from. The staff is very accommodating. The only negative is that the space is small which makes it a little difficult for someone with a walker or cane to get around. Our group would definitely return for brunch.
Great as usual, house wine is terrific, and my swordfish was perfectly done.
We went for the Sunday Brunch and we couldn't give it a better review. It is a buffet with a large selection of foods and a raw bar. The desserts were fantastic homemade Italian pastries. The price included bottomless mimosas or Bloody Mary's.
I have had lunch and dinner here a few times and thoroughly enjoyed each visit. Sunday brunch was packed so it was a bit loud for me but our guests seemed to enjoy the food and my one and only complaint was the omelette was very dry. Would have enjoyed Eggs Benedict much more and wish that was on the menu. Obviously a successful spot for Sunday brunch given the crowd. Would recommend to others.
The food was absolutely delicious. A lot of homemade pasta. The prices are reasonable. The staff is very friendly and attentive. All in all, a great experience.
The business lunch prix fixe menu is a very good value. The antipasto board appetizer is just enough to begin a meal, and the soup of the day was good. The parmesan crusted cod was delicious and an extremely generous portion. Husband enjoyed the veal entree. Desserts are nothing great, but gelato is adequate. Definitely a good addition to the near-by restaurants.
It was delicious, staff was excellent. Food was excellent I loved my risotto of the day
Absolutely wonderful dinner and service. Travel from Florida two or three times a year to dine here
We went for the first time this week. Christmas decorations were very pretty, it's a cozy spot, and our server was great! While the food was delicious, my only complaint would be the portions. We order eggplant rollatini (sp?) for 4 people and the app came with 2 very small pieces...very small. Then I ordered risotto and it was delicious but enough for 2 people. The dish portions seemed backwards for the price. The food is mainly heavy Italian food so I'm not sure we'll go back a lot but it's worth a visit for sure.
