Number 16 Restaurant
Was a surprise visit to the restaurant to check out Paul Wallace's food. Had promised my son i would drop in next time we were through in Glasgow. The quality of food was excellent and presentation very good. What made the evening was the attentiveness and chats with the waitresses, they even assisted in organising the surprise at the end of the night. Will most certainly be back again. Thanks for a great evening.
Never ever disappointed by the food, the service or the wine. We absolutely love this restaurant.
Really good food and nice portion sizes - not too big. Quite expensive but very good quality with a nice atmosphere and friendly service
Rustic woody atmosphere , a casual ambiance but Food more on the fine dining end of spectrum . Nice menu choices . Only thing is when booking with open table a Table d’Haut set menu is provided but when we got to the restaurant it was not on offer - just A la Carte . Would definitely recommend
A fabulous intimate setting, perfect place to dine as a couple or in a group with friends. The food was fantastic quality with lots of flavour and beautifully presented. The service was attentive and very friendly. I highly recommend the Turkish Delight for dessert.
Really nice place. Food consistently good. Fresh and original. As filling it as light as you like. Service always good. A local gem.
Superb. Second time we have been and there is a choice of decent places to eat in Byres Road but we believe this beats the other when all is considered.
Fantastic wee restaurant. I gave a number of allergies and dishes were changed to accommodate my needs. Food was delicious. Highly recommend
Always excellent food and pleasant service here.
Toilets are not brilliant but that is a very minor gripe.
The food is always great and at a reasonable price.
Brilliant! Excellent meal in and excellent setting. Staff friendly and created a very relaxed atmosphere. Will definitely return.
I visited with my wife and a mutual friend. It was the latter's first visit and she loved the experience.
Great meal in a lovely spot.
Everything was excellent.
Had a lovely night on Saturday nice welcome in a busy restaurant which is cozy and intimate . The girls on duty were lovely and very informative and the food excellent as was the wine great night altogether. Thanks to my son who paid for the meal it was a lovely gift thanks Jon .
Great start with friendly welcoming staff and bread rolls with dipping oil. Starters and mains were delicious too, bit off more than I could chew with a chocolatey dessert. The marscapone and white chocolate bar was huge and for me didn't have the flavour it promised. Wish I'd gone turkish delight instead.
Great atmosphere and the food was outstanding. Service was excellent- just the right amount of attention but without feeling pressured. Would highly recommend and will definitely go back next time I’m in Glasgow.
Always great food always great service. Menus change regularly as does the wine list. Good value neighborhood restaurant. What’s not to like?
Outstanding. Wonderful small restaurant. Fabulous local food and great wine list!
This is the second time i have visited Number 16 & would highly recommend it to extended family & friends alike.
The food & venue itself is outstanding & is very much becoming a firm favorite among the family & myself.
Absolutely fantastic as usual! A taste sensation, can't wait to go back.
Absolutely excellent food cooked and served brilliantly. Good wine . All reasonably priced.
Only small criticism and I'm being picky,a little cramped
Very small but not cramped. Food always at least good or more often excellent . Breast of wood pigeon a little tough but the fish outstanding and if was a generous portion . Service attentive but not intrusive. Always good value over the years
Lovely lunch, fresh produce, pleasant & friendly service. Good value
As normal, lovely imaginative food with great service. Can’t wait to come back! Thanks guys
Had a lovely evening as usual in No 16. Staff were friendly and efficient. Food as always was excellent.
Outstanding as always. Delicious food and very inventive vegetarian options. The 3 course lunch time menu is very good value and the fisher are those found on the a la carte menu.
Service was friendly and enthusiastic and although we were there for a long time at lunch and they had to prepare for the afternoon we did not feel any pressure to leave and were encouraged to stay for coffee.
Would thoroughly recommend to anyone who wants to go for both lunch and dinner.
We lived the atmosphere in the restaurant, we had the best table at the window on the mezzanine. The staff were very friendly and attentive. The food was delicious, so many flavours! We'll definitely be back. W hope to be able to visit their pop up in Arran!
Small but well laid out restaurant. Menu is not extensive but there is something for everyone and it is all very good. The staff is excellent and friendly.
Overall, fantastic food, ambience and prices. Only the waiter seemed a bit nerveous, which caused a little stress. Service though was still great. Thanks
We both experienced a wonderful evening, friendly staff and a very earm welcome.
The choice of food in all courses was a tough task, only due to the great selection of food. We had a Lamb and pidgeon starter, both were amazing. The mains were not disappointing either with duck and strip beef being our choices. We both had a wonderful evening and would recommend a visit to this little gem!
Excellent as always - lovely people, great food, what more can I say
Fantastic meal. Lovely atnosphere and fabulous service. Reasonable and good value for money. Maxine was well
Informed and knew the menu. Would recommend and will be back.
Possibly the best meal we have ever had in Glasgow. Highly recommended. Took my fiancée there for her birthday. Both absolutely loved it...so much so, we have already arranged to take my mum and dad there for their birthdays. Also had excellent gluten free knowledge/choices (my fiancée has coeliac disease). Top quality food and exceptional service.
We had another fabulous meal here. It’s fantastic value & the food was delicious. Staff are very attentive & remembered which table we like. We’ll be back !
We took a friend from the USA, who is chef, for dinner. She said the dish she had was the best meal she has ever had in a restaurant....kind of says it all.....
A gem at the bottom end of Byres Road, near Dumbarton Road. Delicious food and a relaxed atmosphere.
Number 16 richly deserves its status as a West End institution. Superb cooking, a beautiful menu, lovely smiley service and a ridiculous bargain at £22 for the three-course set lunch. No skimping on portion or quality of ingredients for the set menu. Can’t recommend highly enough.
Great food & wine , excellent service led to a wonderful dining experience .
Would highly recommend No16.
the food is wonderful and the service is excellent. We have a great experience at this restaurant and we will definitely come back to this restaurant.
Fantastic food, friendly and professional service, love this restaurant, can’t recommend it highly enough
Beautiful beautiful food and really friendly staff. Cannot fault any aspect of the meal, absolutely outstanding every time. Only slight criticism is due to the size of the restaurant delivery staff popping in and out throughout the meal, unavoidable but certainly a distraction. Decor could be slightly slicker. Overall would highly recommend and will be back.
