Number 16 Restaurant
Sunday: 1PM - 2.30PM, 5.30PM - 8.30
Absolutely fantastic meal - my 13 year old loved the short ribs and the venison sausage rolls w turnip ketchup was exceptional - the heritage potatoes were soooo good we ordered another side - dessert to die for- chocolate brownie is not any old chocolate brownie - just fantastic
Small and cozy food really good
Would recommend and will be back
Great food, great service a hidden gem, this is our second time eating at Number 16 and definitely won’t be the last thanks
Was given a voucher as a gift, taken a while to organise but was well worth the wait. A lovely welcome and the food was outstanding both in presentation and flavour, with more than enough portion given to not require a follow up meal afterwards!
Even small touches like following up on wine by Googling and giving us more information.
All in all, well worth the visit, would defintely return.
First time at Number 16 and didn’t disappoint. Made very welcome on arrival and seated right away. Our server was amazing. Very attentive. Everyone in our party had different dishes which we all enjoyed. House white went down a treat. Well worth the journey. What a treat.
The food was delicious, v attentive staff, a great evening overall
Outstanding food and service once again! It’s easy to see why Number 16 is my favourite restaurant. Can’t wait to return!!!
No 16 is a small intimate restaurant with a good atmosphere. The food was excellent and nicely presented. I would happily recommend this restaurant.
Just wonderful. Cody. Friendly food is fantastic. Perfect fish and the venison was outstanding.
Excellent ambiance, excellent food. Flawless experience.
Outstanding value with a first-class, creative menu with ingredients that were excellent. Compliments to the chef and his team and also the front-line staff who were helpful, friendly and delightfully amusing throughout. I’ve been before and will certainly be back. This is one of the best restaurants in Glasgow if not the best.
Really loved our meal at this little gem. Food was delicious and gorgeous, filling but not too much. The service was excellent, professional yet warm. Cozy ambiance, relaxed yet upscale. We're so pleased we found this place!
Last week we visited Glasgow with 2 couples. I booked the restaurant a few days before visiting Glasgow. It had a nice and friendly atmosphere. The supply in the starters and the main course was not abundant, but every dish was fresh and very tastefull and exhaled a great creativity. The waiter was very kind and helped us to make the good choice for the wine accompanying the food. In mind " never change a winning team",
we begged him for a table the next evening. So we could continue the party.
I hadn’t visited Number 16 for maybe... 7 years and I wasn’t disappointed! Same great little place, made even more original and quirky in places. Like the individual painted plates and tiles. The food was spectacular - salmon starter was out of this world and venison haunch main was the best I’ve had. My Italian fiancé (riskily) chose the buttata ravioli and said it was one of the best he’d ever had. And would have paid double the price - even in Italy! High praise!! Our only small complaint was slow service in general and we waited 20mins on dessert which we thought was a little much.
After having read great things about this restaurant, our expectations were fairly high. Unfortunately, we felt let down that our dining experience did not meet those expectations. We rate the food as average for 3 of the four dishes, and the fourth was below average. The staff were friendly, but did not come across as being in any way interested in the dishes on offer or in us as customers. Overall, a three star rating is about as much as we, as a group of four, could allocate.
Been hear many times and standard always consistently good.
I went to Number 16 with my husband and family and we all really enjoyed ourselves.
The food was delicious, I am a vegetarian and the options weren’t restrictive.
The service was fantastic and the atmosphere was great.
Would thoroughly recommend!
Great service, good wine choices to compliment the delicious food will definitely be back
On the menu the dishes looked promising; nice ingredients and original recipes. On the pallet they lacked flavour and the main part of the dish (e.g., venison, sweetbread) were wildly underrepresented in favour of the trimmings (e.g., barley). The price was also too high for that experience.
Excellent quality lunch with attentive service. Highly recommended for lunch.
Wonderful wine and food as always. The scallops were delicious and beautifully cooked. Husband loved the maple glazed salmon and pork 3-ways. My venison with barley was great (refined) comfort food. I would also recommend the olive oil cake, which was perfect for those who like more savoury than sweet desserts. Staff were friendly and attentive,
Loved everything except how cold the restaurant was.
We had an excellent dinner here. Both chose the pan roasted halibut and shared 2 sides - cauliflower gratin and deep fried potatoes. It was a great combination and all arrived at our table piping hot. The portion size was just right. Our waitress was great- attentive and friendly but not overly. We knew the restaurant was going to be small but we had enough room and it was very cosy. Would definitely return on our next trip to Glasgow.
Excellent all round !! One of our party has a severe garlic allergy and the chef made every effort to offer alternatives from the menu where possible, this was geatyly appreciated .We will be back soon!
Lovely food, lovely staff and fairly priced! Will be back.
Everything from the food to the
Birthday week ... and twice to Number 16, as usual the flavours and presentation were excellent
First time trying out no.16, the service and food and second to none!
Had a fantastic night, I will definitely be back!
Really enjoyed the experience, will definitely be back.
Quality food with great prices for the product that you are getting. Great service and lovely people.
Fantastic service, inventive food and great location. Many thanks.
Another excellent meal, the veggie option was not available on the lunch menu, but the filled pasta from the a la carte was very tasty. The only negative, is the cheese option on the set lunch menu, a very small single piece of cheese.
The food was really good but the portions were just a little small. The staff were lovely, very attentive and friendly. The environment is nice and the restaurant itself is in a great part of Glasgow.
A fabulous evening of individual styled food topped with the sharing desert
We had a lovely anniversary lunch. Food was fab and the waiter helped explain the cooking techniques used.
The food was of excellent quality. Would recommend this place for a birthday, anniversary etc.
Cosy, unfussy, unpretentious gem. Interesting flavour combinations; knowledgeable and friendly staff. Don’t underestimate the quality of No 16.
No.16 delivers every time . Great, tasty fresh food.
Staff are lovely , helpful - always a friendly smile.
Still my favourite restaurant in Glasgow.
Lovely afternoon at no 16, the food was delicious and service excellent, thank you
Thoroughly enjoyed our meal and evening would recommend this restaurant
