A true neighborhood gem. Erin creates her magic in the kitchen. Last night we started off with drinks and then had the fried artichokes and the miso Cesare salad. A deconstructed Cesare at its best. My wife had the steak frites and I had the duck breast. The steak was cooked to perfection and was like cutting butter. My duck breast was truly amazing along with the turnip puree. The meal was completed with a slice of the key lime pie and a dish of apple crisp. Both were truly wonderful. I hope that Livingston Manor appreciates the true dedication Erin puts in to making the Stumble Out an amazing dining expedience.

Celebrating our 30th wedding anniversary and 1909 didn’t disappoint. Husband is an executive chef and we appreciate and value quality in food and service . From Jean at the door , Osheen our server and Trey on his first day made our evening!

If you’re looking for a wonderful and very tasty dinner experience with an amazing atmosphere in Cooperstown, this is your place. Make reservations and request a lakeside window table and enjoy the magnificent fall colors if you go in October. Arrive an hour early and start with drinks at the Fire Pit table. So relaxing. Walk the grounds and take in the amazing history of this building after dinner. Amazing evening.

Excellent service and good. Brunch was exceptional as well as our server. The hotel is stunningly beautiful.

I purchased a gift certificate for my daughter and son-in-law for their first anniversary, and I couldn’t have chosen a better place! They had an incredible dinner at Matilda and absolutely loved everything; from the food and cocktails to the ambiance and wonderful staff. My son-in-law is a true foodie and very hard to impress. He rates every restaurant he visits and said that while he would never give a perfect score because he doesn’t know what “perfect” tastes like, Matilda would probably be it! He even ordered an extra dessert, which he never does! They both described their experience as perfection and couldn’t stop talking about how much they loved this place. Thank you, Matilda, for making their anniversary so special. I highly recommend it!
