The food and drinks were excellent. I’m not sure why this place takes reservations, it’s a sit anywhere type of restaurant. We originally had to sit in an annex by ourselves even though we had a reservation, they do not hold the main dining room spots for reservations. We waited and a table finally opened up but it was my husbands birthday so it wasn’t a great experience. It felt like we were the only ones who actually had a reservation and we were the only ones who didn’t have a seat. Additionally everybody at the hotel receives 10% off so you know that you’re already getting a higher price than everyone else sitting there. I’d only go to this place again for a drink if I was staying at the hotel, even though the food is good.

Beautiful setting for this historic inn in the White Mtns. Drinks at bar were substantial and good, but expensive in our experience. The entrees we had were excellent: one was a "special" of beef short ribs, and the other a salmon dish. They also have an extensive wine list. Service was excellent, attentive but not overdone. Good experience and not our first at this spot.

Great, attentive service, with quick drink refills. Food was very good and fresh as typical although the dressing on the ahi tuna rice bowl was well beyond spicy—a tad overwhelming. Mere speculation that there are staffing challenges as there was a “no walk in” policy posted in front although the restaurant was never close to full, and kitchen last call for food was 7:45pm. We love the mountain view and charm of the Oxford House and will return!

We came to the Wild Rose to celebrate our anniversary and we were very very pleasantly surprised. The ambience is lovely. You pass through the beautiful Old Manor House and enter the lovely bright dining room overlooking the lush green backyard. The waitress was absolutely delightful – friendly knowledgeable, and helpful. My husband had delicious salmon and I enjoyed their special of two appetizers and a house salad for $38. Delicious!! Met another couple there who was celebrating their first anniversary and they had been married at Stonehurst Manor a year ago!! Everything and everyone including the food was delightful! I encourage you to go!!!!
