Simply amazing. One of my favorite places in the world.
Our favorite meal in CDMX - cozy, charming, delicious, love the manager
Excelente, la tostada de cangrejo imperdible
The 1st time visiting Maximo Bistrot was a complete amazing experience, from food to service, all the details, the treatment, the courtesies, etc. This was my 2nd time and it was quite different, not bad, but it missed that kind of magic delivered in the past visit. Dishes like the Onion, Taco de Lechon and the Chocolate-Macadamia cake were amazing, ... the pork was quite simple and the waiter suggested it as the best dish ever, mmm not. The service in general was short of attention, I'd even say kind of careless. However, I'll come back as the 1st experience over exceeded expectations, hopefully to have a same experience as that one and forget this one.
Focus is on food - authentic, fresh, meticulously prepared, delicious!
Poor service. Low light so menus cannot be seen clearly. Distracted waiters. Fresh ingredients.
They accommodated us with our infant on a busy night even though our reservation was for only two people.
Experiencia espectacular, buena comida, buen ambiente.
In my lifetime, I have spent 12 years in the restaurant business and it takes a lot for me to get upset to the point that I will refuse to leave a tip for the server. This was our third trip to Mexico City and our third time visiting this restaurant. Everything except for the service from the waiter was excellent but unfortunately the rudeness of the waiter ruined the entire experience for us. The only thing he seemed to care about was getting us out of the restaurant as quickly as possible. We were in and out of the restaurant in 50 minutes. Had we stayed for dessert perhaps we might have made it a full hour. When the waiter came to run my credit card and asked how much tip I would like to leave, I promptly said NO TIP. I explained to him that I thought his service was horrible. He laughed and shrugged his shoulders and offered absolutely no effort to understand what happened or to try and correct the situation. I was so upset upon leaving that I told the manager on duty, who did not want us leaving unhappy. She was kind enough to offer us a tequila which was appreciated but I told her that we had recommended the restaurant to several people that day that we were with, and that I would no longer recommend it to people. I went so far as to tell some friends coming to Mexico City next week, to not even bother with this restaurant. I had never had an issue with the service in any restaurant in Mexico City including this one until now. Very unfortunate.
On a Friday afternoon, way too groovy with all the foodies from around the universe checking their boxes.....a shame because the food is perfect...
One of the best dinners we had in Mexico City. So many great flavors and colors.
Simple, pretty sublime.
Came from out of town and made a reservation for a birthday lunch. It did not let down. Everything was extremely delicious and the ambiance was wonderful. We had a wonderful celebration!
In my humble opinion the best restaurant in Mexico City. The ribs eye with morels was out of this world.
Too many “instagramers” not enjoying the food nor the place, caring inly for the picture moment. Table turn around is really high, it feels awkward... the whole place and setting does not merit the food.
Great food, very inattentive service. Didn’t get my drink until after my meal but wow... the food was out of this world. Still shook.
Honestamente no regresaría.
Great dinner for our honeymoon. Delicious food and good service. Friendly and would definatly recommend
I came for dinner with my mom and we really enjoyed it. We didn’t do tasting menus, rather we ordered 4 smaller plates, shared a main, and shared dessert. The amount of food was perfect for us. Everything was executed and timed perfectly, service was genuine and warm. We received an explanation of each dish, which I found wasn’t so common in other restaurants in Mexico. Excellent cocktails and a great wine list. I prefer natural wine and was delighted to see it on the menu. Two standouts were the octopus & the ravioli! Divino, muchísima gracias a ustedes :)
We were recommended to come here. The food did not disappoint. We chose the tasting menu, and asked for pescatarian and each of the courses was delicious. The service was friendly though the pace was too fast. We were always brought the next course as soon as the previous was finished, and before we had finished the paired wine. We were asked to move table so they could accommodate a large party. We didn’t mind this too much but in other places they would have offered a little something in return - not so here. Our biggest gripe was the exceedingly low light level. Both of had to use our phone torches to read the menus - the one on brown paper was a particular challenge.
Great food, excellent service.
The food was great and the service was impeccable
The food is simple yet complex. The flavors compliment each other in each creative dish. I enjoyed my meal so much that I went twice during my vacation. The service is friendly, professional and accommodating. I highly recommend this restaurant.
We were a table of 7. We arrived early and they were very nice and seated us. But, then they told us that we couldn’t order from the menu. We just had to accept what the kitchen decided to send us. Mind you, this is not a pre fixe menu. We asked to please let us order, but to no avail. For a restaurant in this category, I would expect better.
We really enjoyed everything!
As good as always. one of my favorite!!!!!!! We will be back!
Todo muy bien un poco costoso
Food and service was good. The restaurant was small so the tables are very close to each other.
