Amazing food, the flavours were amazing in every dish. The service was also outstanding, the waiters were very polite and efficient.
I have been told this was one of the top reataurants in the city. I read several reviews and it seems outstanding.
For a saturday nite date with my bf we decide going there.
The place is nice and quite. Small and private.
The service was good.. but I expected more regarding the menu.
Ravioles was a surprise, they were actually the best.
We were expecting an outstanding rissoto, I mean, 600 pesos in rice, that should be amazing. It was ok. I have had better in less snob places.
The waiter brought the ravioles with an extra ingredient we did not ask for. When we told him, instead of changing, he said: no worry is on me! Like if it was due the price and not for our preference. This was rude.
I think it was Ok. But I prefer other options better. Same price, better quality and service.
Food was okay, service was subpar
Great food - great service, will come back. Really suggest to indulge in the drinks too.
Simply one of the best meals I've had...from cocktails to all the different dishes to the amazing french toast dessert...Definitely run to to make a reservation and then savor the flavor bomb experience!
Probably the BEST dinning experience I had in Mexico City! Definitely go do the Tasting Menu!
Fantastic food and service. Save room for desserts. Our favorite meal this trip hands down.
Fantastic - focus on simplistic Latin execution and high quality ingredients in a French mode.
Great tasting food! However I got gastroenteritis after eating a meal here. May have been a one time fluke but avoid the raw dishes! The others had hot and cooked dishes and they had no issues.
Mixed experience. We were sat on the street which isn’t blocked off at all so it’s noisy, trucks are flying by kicking up dust, and we were bothered by people trying to sell stuff every 2 minutes. Had some great Mexican wine. The onion/cheese dip was one of the best things I’ve ever eaten. Other food was good.
Biggest issue was that we were seated at 4 and our waiter didn’t tell us that they stopped serving at 5. So we went to order dinner and we were told the kitchen was closed. We were given no warning. That’s bad service.
Overall - medium. Not bad. Not up to the hype.
While not the cheapest place in town, quite possibly the best deal to be found in terms of price:quality.
Portions may seem on the small side (compared to American restaurants) but we all walked away very satisfied with our three-course meals.
Depending on the time of day, traffic and parking in the area can be tricky, so plan accordingly (one of our guests spent 30 mins looking for parking).
Tip: Their amazing eggplant spread is available for purchase at their sister restaurant, Lalo.
Maximo Bistrot was fabulous! The service was impeccable and we loved every dish and the margaritas! Thank you!
This s my 3rd visit to Maximo Bistrot one of my favorite places in Mexico City.
It was the first time that chef Eduardo García was not there, as he used to prepare every dish that left the kitchen, and it was noticeable, food was good but lacked that extra magic touch that he puts on it.
It was a little disappointing, mostly with the sea food dishes (tostada de cangrejo moro y ceviche de pulpo) they didn’t had the extra punch. Don’t get me wrong food was very good but some dishes lacked the greatness that i know they can have. Maybe first time comers won’t even notice, but this place used to be a one man show in the kitchen, i know that can’t last forever, but that doesn’t mean I won’t miss it.
The food here is just okay. The service was annoying and a bit rude. We initially ordered cocktails, wine, and 4 dishes to share. Our server seemed annoyed that we only ordered 4 items and said 'you did not order much'. I replied, 'yes I understand, we will continue ordering'. He said nothing and grabbed the menus and took them away abruptly. Our dinner was interrupted 6 times by people / children asking for money. They aggressively stood at our table with bowls in our faces asking for money. I realize the restaurant cannot control all of this but they did nothing to take care of their guests. When you are paying this much for a meal, I think it's reasonable to expect a relaxed environment. This was not the case. There are many other better options in CDMX. Skip this one.
Every dish was a delight, I would reccomend the Tortelloni and the Maracuya Merengue - perfectly balanced. Service at first was a little hecktic, maybe because we were sitting in the table closer to the kitchen and we could hear noise from the kitchen and the dining room. Everyone was very kind, specially a serveur from La Paz (loved her energy). Later on our request to be changed to an outside table was attended and the rest of the evening was perfect.
Me encantó.
Amazing flavors & an overall great food experience. Every part of the meal was delicious
My husband and I went for a date and had such a memorable experience. The food was delicious and service was great. We will definitely come back when we travel to Mexico City in the future.
Amazing. One of our best meals ever in Mexico City. Highly recommended. My wife liked it better than Pujol, and I’d say it’s way up there.
Maximo was a great experience. Small place, few tables but you can see they take care of every detail. Tasting menu was good a bit pricey though.
We have always depended on maximo bistrot for an excellent meal. This time it was just disappointing. The proportions have been so reduced they are now bite sized - something that works well for their degustation menu, but not when you are ordering a la carte. The service was also lacking in both attentiveness and energy.
We were very sad to see this downhill slide as this restaurant has always been our go to for a fine meal in a casual setting.
Second time here...service was very rushed... You could tell that the waiter had been encouraged to try to move customers through quickly. A couple of times they brought drinks or plates separately, so one of us had to sit there waiting for the other's dish/drink to arrive...definitely not fine service. It all felt rushed. Also I don't like tight seating layouts in fine dining. I dislike intensely when there some table right next to you listening to your conversation. Frankly I couldn't wait to leave so we could talk in comfort without the neighbors listening and the waiter bursting in our our conversations.
Bien.
