2 of four meals were excellent. The other two were not . Our biggest issue though was an incredibly loud group who were yelling and carrying on to the point it hurt our ears. For a pricey restaurant the behavior of this large group was not appropriate and ruined the ambiance. We did bring it up to the waiter but he said he could not do anything about it.

My Mom, sister and I dined at the Chowder House last night, early visitor season. After 4+ hours of travel we were hungry and hankering for lobster (and chowder)- this place did not disappoint. Our server was wonderful and the food delicious!! We were so full (portions are large) we had to order our desserts to go. It was what we needed!

Delicious chowder and sushi! Absolutely loved the ambience and our waiter was attentive. We will be back again!

Crowds have cleared out but the quality of the food and ambience remains great. The staff and other diners give this place that welcoming feel.

We always enjoy MV Chowder house but the fries and the calamari were way, way too salty. I wish I had sent them back. Next time I will know to mention that.

Great clam chowder, should have listened to him and come back for the lobster roll. The other place around the corner was not as great.
