Manzo Ristorante - Eataly NYC Flatiron
11:00 am for Bar service
11:30 AM till 10:30 PM for Dining Service
Its in the middle of the busy markets at Eataly so its pretty hectic but the food and service were good. Although on the expensive side the ingredients were clearly authentic amd top quality. The classics are covered but nothing too creative or i teresting
Our meals were so delicious. Be sure to inquire about their “cow, cow, cow” specials which vary all the time. My husband had Osso Buco and it was perfection. Our server was so genuine and friendly. It was a great dinner experience.
Best meat I’ve eaten in Ny. Good beer and great service.
We have been to this restaurant for many years since 5 years ago, usually about one time every 4-6 months. The quality of this restaurant (but not its prices!) dropped from an excellent to a poor restaurant in the last year.
The presentation of the plates and the quality were top-notch before, but yesterday both were abysmal:
- on the presentation: everything seemed dropped on the plate without any thought
- on the quality: we ordered one salad and it seems their cook dropped the vinegar bottle on it (I'm Italian and I know how vinegar should be used (and I usually appreciate it), a far cry from what their cook did...), we still ate it while drinking one whole bottle of water and hoping for the main course, which was a blue fish for my wife and one steak for me. The fish was covered by an extremely acid sauce (the lemon used was awfully acid) that made it almost inedible, while the steak and the salad near it were too doused by a quantity of vinegar that was appalling. Moreover, I ordered the meat to be well-done and it arrived raw, I sent it back and after it came back in top 2 minutes it was burned outside and almost raw inside...
Yesterday evening, they lost some clients and they earned a bad review.
Off the charts. Planned our trip to NYC around Eataly
I always enjoy the food at Eataly, particularly the pasta dishes. On this occasion, the waiter seems overwhelmed by something. Very nice guy, but often disappeared while the restaurant wasn't busy at all; didn't, and should have, given us a wine list with the menus. There was a long while between these steps; pressed us to order everything at once because "the kitchen was busy and was closing soon" even though our reservation was at 7:00 (early); brought us a bread basket after we requested it while diners around us received theirs upon sitting; and, last but not least, bought out an entirely wrong dish, and then DEFENDED it. So, while I enjoy Eataly, I would consider this an anamoly. I should have requested a different waiter, and I should not have left a 20% tip. I just chose not to make a scene in front of a client. One problem food-wise; the branzino that I ordered was very small, barely enough for one person, served on a bare plate. Poorly done, Eataly.
A delightful food experience every time. The water was very attentive and accommodated our many food allergies in our group. The food was delicious and fresh. Highly recommend.
Wine list not up to date, slow service, great food.
Food was good but extremely overpriced for what you get in terms of portion and quality
Server although had explained the menu and specials (Osso Bucco)which we both ordered but she failed to explain that’s thats all you get is a plate of meat!! After the meat plates came
Out she didn’t come over as check on our first bites!! We then decided to quickly order a side of broccoli rab which didn’t come out in time to have with our last bites and in fact only came out when we reminded her.
They do have a extensive wine menus but dissatisfied that the first 2 bottles I chose were not available so I got a third choice.
I have a very good time at Eataly! Our sever eas very atentive Allen night.
Very hot in here. Food is good. One kind of grass fed steak, but that’s a huge deal for me (one is better than none), but I need to be comfortable when I m having my meal. It’s a corner in Eataly.
Everything we ate was very tasty; good options for dessert; nice selection of wines. Good service.
I liked the way they had it before....darker , a little more quiet .
Loved the food, and the wine pairings were definitely worth it!
The service was great and overall the restaurant is very nice but a bit $$ for what you get.
Food is just ok, but Very over priced, especially the wine list! With all the great Italian rest in nyc this place is nothing but a tourist trap!
Grossly overpriced. Mediocre food. This place is a total ripoff.
Delicious , the food is excellent quality and service was quick - perfect for a mid day lunch meeting
I have had excellent food with my relatives in Italy and this restaurant meets the standards of a Calabrese kitchen. The Ingredients at Eataly are highest quality. The meat at Manzo's better than any I have had in the US or Calabria. The spices, parsley, basil, cheese, bread and tomatoes were fresh and flavorful in the dishes we selected. The pasta was perfectly cooked al dente. Staff allowed us to share several different dishes at our table with no fuss. The waiting staff were very attentive. I am very picky about Italian food and all the dishes were delicious. I wish they sold wine by carafe but otherwise a great place to dine in NYC. I look forward to my next visit!
Food is amazing as you would expect from Eataly. Great place for a date!
Service is friendly and love the way they say the menu items I cant otherwise pronounce. Sitting at the counter was a fun experience (even though I felt a heart attack coming on watching them salt the steaks!) On the flip side - perhaps that's why they are so scrumptious?
Everything was amazing from food to service to ambiance.
Market area was more impressive than restaurant. Very limited menu.
Good food. Waitress had far too many tables. Sat down on someone else’s pasta, gross. Waaaaaay noisy for a conversation.
My friend and I came here for restaurant week. Our server Dennis was fantastic. He was very busy but still gave us service with a smile. The ambiance is nice and the food is good. I've been here before and enjoyed the food but unfortunately the restaurant week main dishes were not great. The salad was delicious but the chicken and Cacio Pepe were very bland.
It was a good experience. Great food and the service was amazing.
Food was delicious. A bit pricey but very tasty. We were there very early, so it wasn’t crowded. I would imagine if it was crowded it might be a bit loud.
I took my son for a father-son lunch. My son is extremely picky about what he will eat. He loves pasta Bolognese, so I made sure in advance that it was on the menu. My son had meatballs as an appetizer, the Bolognese for a main course and a chocolate cake dessert. He said the Bolognese was the best he had had anywhere, including in Italy. The meatballs were scrumptious. The dessert, which I shared with him was phenomenal. The staff is lovely. Our main server was as nice and helpful as can be. We told her our opinion of the Bolognese. She went to tell the chef and came back to say that he was delighted. I asked her to make sure that the Bolognese stays on the menu. We had a great time and will be back again soon. I can't say enough nice things about this place.
Always go to Eataly when we are in NYC!! Love the atmosphere and good is always great.
Everything perfect! Food excellent
Good to great service. Food experience was mixed. Between our two pasta dishes, one was very good, the other actually tasted like Chef Boyardee. And in either case, it was not worth the elevated price.
Food was ok, but there was basically no air conditioning— it was hotter in the store than it was outside (and it was 80 outside). Generally pretty miserable
The food was good but it was overpriced. The noise level was very loud even though we were sitting in the back corner. Manzo, before the renovation, was a little oasis in the middle of Eataly. Now it has lost that appeal.
Busy place. Small menu mostly meat based and very small portions. If you’re in he mood for meat better of at one of many my steak houses. Overall ok place but our sever made it much worse. Took for ever to get drinks and then once we had drinks they stayed empty on table for way too long. Had to hunt waiter down to get refill. The. Order a glass of wine for ($15) and he came to table with bottle and poured what looked like a 4 oz pour and dripped wine on me in the process. He didn’t know most of the menu items and when we ordered apps he insisted on taking our entire order and I obliged even though I don’t like doing this because dinners come in the middle of apps. So halfway into apps food runner came by and asked if we were ready for entrees and I said does it look like it ? I then scolded waiter telling him now my food is sitting in window under hot lamp etc. pathetic and he was very condescending. Really speaks to Mgt of this place. Poor. I will never ever go back. Too many other great restaurants in nyc.
The mozzarella and prosciutto were fantastic.
The wagyu steak the best I ever had. A truly exceptional meal. Cannot wait to come back.
Could be better if we had our sidedishes at the same time as our main dish. We had to wait too long. We had to remind diferents waiters serverer times before we recieved our sidedishes.
The fresh mozzarella is to die for. If all you do is come for
Flat bread mozzarella and a drink it’s worth it. We had pasta and black truffles too. So worth it. Yummy indeed.
Fantastic dining and great experience.
All dishes were delicious, service was excellent, the staff were very helpful with providing recommendations.
The cured meats and burrata are very tasty, then all the pastas and cuts we tried were delicious.
Would greatly recommend this restaurant.
Sat at chef’s bar. Love to watch the chefs work, makes me feel like I can replicate it at home. Service very smooth and timely, team works together well. Arugula dressed perfectly.
Excellent but hard to find
