Lightfoot Restaurant calificaciones y reseñas
I alerted the restaurant when I made the reservation that it was our anniversary. No mention from anyone about us celebrating. Not typical from an upscale restaurant. The waiter was scattered and couldn’t remember the specials and pulled out a large sheet of paper to read the specials. Again, not typical of an upscale restaurant. The food was definitely the highlight.
Will probably go back but may go somewhere else for a special occasion.
My family had a very enjoyable meal here. We were taken to our table as soon as our full party was present and the service was friendly and timely. The food was delicious as usual. The two children as well as the adults were treated as appreciated guests.
We had a 7 pm reservation but waited 20 minutes to be sat. After being sat, we waited an additional 20 mins for bread and drinks. So, 40 mins into our reservation and no order taken, drinks or bread. When our app finally arrived, it was delivered to the wrong table who proceeded to eat it! Not a good start. I ordered the scallop special that arrived NOTHING like it was offered. It arrived on rice with mixed veggies not the cheese grits and crispy fried pork belly as I had expected. Who offers a special and then changes it and doesn't tell servers or the person who ordered it? I blame the kitchen for the issues mentioned and they clearly were off their game and slowed the restaurant down.
Also, we noted in our OpenTable reservation that we were celebrating our first wedding anniversary and yet there was no mention of it by the hostess (who can see our reservation) or the server. I expect a restaurant of this level to pay attention to the notes on the reservation and share that info with the server. Not a good experience. We left unhappy. I do not recommend Lightfoot.
Great food and service! With reservations for 5:00, we wondered why we had to wait 10 minutes to hear the chef's specials for dinner. Also, it was very noisy, but not sure how Lightfoot can control that, when a table next to you has a group of women who are just having a good time and talking loudly. Overall, pricey but outstanding food. Special occasion venue for us. Love the cheesy bread, too!
Delightfully repurposed old two story bank building. Beautiful accent pieces, superior chef. Fairly fancy, lots of flourishes and finishes on every menu item; not a whole lot of regular American comfort foods but there is a kids' menu. Only negative was loudness of restaurant. Even at mid-afternoon, the level was loud enough that hearing conversational level talk was difficult.
We enjoy drinks and small plates after Friday evening dance classes @ Adams Dance studio. Lightfoot is our go to place, 3 times a month! The Lobster bisque is my favorite as well as the zucchini sticks. The wine and spirits selection is eclectic and enjoyable.
Had another excellent time dining at Lightfoot Restaurant in Leesburg on the 24th. We were 1st greeted by a gregarious waiter in training. If he didn't know the answer, he quickly found it. The occasion was a get together of old friends, so we were not in a hurry to eat and leave. Lightfoot is awesome for that, not just extraordinary food, but a staff that will read the situation and adjust to it. We stayed for 3 hours with never a want or need, not being followed up by our waiter in training.
Our congratulations to Chef Ingrid Gustavson and her staff.
The only problem we had was that we waited 45 minutes to get bread for the table before food came. Delilah was fantastic waitress but that wait was really long and our reservation was for 8pm so all 7 of us were really hungry.
We had great seating near the window at the front of the restaurant. Everything was near perfect with the exception of the duck breast which my husband traded me for. I’d never been asked how I want my poultry cooked and medium was recommended. As I should have guessed, it was like eating half cooked chicken. I would go there again, but stick to steak or other less “exotic” poultry. :)
had a great dinner here this weekend! this place has been on my list! we really wanted a booth so waited at the bar and had some really lovely cocktails. i love the decor of the restaurant. we did have to wait a long time for our food to arrive but when it did it was outstanding. my filet and crabcake special was an absolutely outstanding dish. i would come back just for this. great ambiance and great place for a romantic dinner.
The food was very good, and we enjoyed that. However, the service was very poor. There were a number of times we had to flag our waiter down. Drinks were empty with no refills a number of times. And when it was time to pay again, it took forever for them to come to our table.
We enjoyed our lunch at Lightfoot a lot! Most of us hadn't been there for years and years, and thought it tasted better now! It was pretty crowded, but it's such a nice restaurant that we overlooked that! Our orders were soup, salads, corned beef sandwich I think and I ordered the fried chicken sandwich. The salad, oysters I think? ~ was huge!
I highly recommend Lightfoot if you are looking for a quality meal with lots of flavor. Every meal I’ve had here has been beyond delicious! The complimentary cinnamon rolls on Sundays are a bonus! The ambiance is quiet yet cool. Love the history of the restaurant once being a bank as well.
Great as always!!!' We had company for the weekend and decided to go to brunch. We've been there several times (our guests had not)and everybody enjoyed it. The food was good, they loved the atmosphere and the service impeccable. That's why we returned!
I really don't know where to start, my experience from the second I walked in to when I left was absolutely amazing.
My husband and I went here for our anniversary and the atmosphere is really nice. The hostess, waited, and every staff member we interacted with were extremely friendly. As for the food I don't know if somehow the chef overheard my husband and I talking (highly unlikely) but my husband was really hoping for an Alaskan King Crab Bisque and lamb. Miraculously when our waiter came back to read the specials for the night the crab bisque (I cant recall if it was snow crab or king crab) and lamb were two of the specials! Everything from the appetizers to the dessert did not disappoint by far. Even the bread was delicious!
As usual, the food was excellent, the service was elegant, it was a lovely evening. We have 1 gripe: My wife and I have been Paleo for almost a year and at most local restaurants we never have a problem swapping carbs for another veggie. Our server didn't bat an eye when we asked for asparagus instead of potatos - but we were surprised at the $3.95/each surcharge. Lightfoot is not cheap - we're fine paying for a nice meal, we just felt like we should have been notified up front.
Experience was just ok. Pace was really slow. I'm all for not rushing people but we weren't even asked about drink order until 15-20 min in when we were ready to order dinner. So we waited close to 30 min just for our drinks. Pace of appetizers & dinners were fine. There were 4 in our party for a 6:30 reservation. We arrived a few minutes late so were sat around 6:40. Dinner wasnt over until 8:30! Two in our party ordered steak & neither was cooked correctly. Medium was rare & well done was medium. We had to ask for steak knives but then server didn't return for quite some time so it wasn't worth saying anything. Whole experience just left me with an "eh" feeling. Lovely old building & location just wish the rest of the experience was good. Too many good restaurants in our area to settle for this at this price point.
Really disappointed. Food was very average, and overpriced. Neither my husband nor I finished our entrees. The waiter seemed peeved that we didn't eat everything or say that we enjoyed our meals and made kind of a dramatic show of stacking the dirty dishes top top of one another and taking them away in a huff. Quite expensive, too. Definitely more than we want to spend on mediocre food and a waiter with an attitude. Will not go back and will not recommend.
Sadly, the food was a disappointment. Mussels were large and beautiful but full of sand and grit. Even a beard attached to one that I had the unfortunate luck to have tried to eat. Duck was not great. Dessert was white chocolate bread pudding that was dense and actually cold in the center. Did not taste fresh. We liked the ambiance though, and our server was good, as were the cocktails.
We ate lunch here on a Saturday afternoon, and were surprised to learn that the restaurant, along with its extensive lunch menu, serves a more limited brunch menu on Saturdays as well, in addition to a longer brunch menu on Sundays.
We chose to eat on the back outdoor patio, which was OK given that it was a nice day, but be advised the patio overlooks a parking lot, and nothing else. Inside, the restaurant was quiet,
but darker, with several dining rooms. The food was very good, and although brunch items
were priced a bit higher than comparable items, the diverse menu options, with some unusual selections in the mix as well, for ex., a mixed berry salad, were delicious and very nicely presented. The dessert menu offers something for everyone.
Altogether, we enjoyed our meal and will return, this time to eat inside!
