    Everything was wonderful from the cocktails to the food, from the warm and attentive service to the atmosphere. A delightful and delicious experience from start to finish.

    Skip the bar (boring cocktail menu) and savor the food and ambiance. I order the gazpacho (sublime), crispy oysters, and roasted cauliflower. All were served at the correct temperature and appropriately staggered. My server was friendly and attentive, although I wish the crumbs were swept before the first course arrived. The architecture and interior are marvels, typical of The Jefferson, and the staff is outstanding.

    This was a sad day to see arrive for Lemaire. My wife and I have been coming here for special occasion like birthdays, and anniversaries for 10 years. Yesterday was to be no different, it was my wife’s birthday. We arrived 15 minutes early and had valet park the car (this was the first message things have changed). The attendants waited at the podium they have until we got out of the car (they did not open my wife’s door which has been done for years). When we checked in the hostess said our table would be ready in 15 minutes and if we went to the bar she would come get us. So we did. A waitress politely came and took out order. After a few minutes she was back and held the glass out for my glass wife to take it from her then did the same to me. (In the past they would place the glass on our table with a coaster or napkin). After we noticed a ton of people being seated, I looked at my watch and it was 20 minutes after 5. I went to the hostess stand and was greeted with “ hi, can I help you,”. I asked her if she forgot our reservation and she “oh my”, then said she would come gets us back at the bar. She did after a couple of minutes and sat us down with wrinkled menu’s with Happy Birthday written across the top—no name just generic. A few minutes later the waiter showed up wreaking of cigarette smoke. The menu looks like it was the same as last year for our anniversary. He stated, “this menu is it today there are no specials.” Never have we dined at Lemaire where there were some seasonal specials. Once we got out food he never returned to ask if we wanted more drinks. Just asked if we wanted desert and (since we had cake at home) we declined, he brought us our check. We paid and pulled up the text from parking to pay and tip, which we did. One of the attendants at the stand asked if this was our car and he gave me the keys. He said he couldn’t figure out how to unlock the door. So I did, opened the door for my wife and we were off. 🤯

    The service was amazing. The waitress was friendly and professional at the same time. The food came out in a timely manner and was delicious. And for all that, the cost was very reasonable!

    Lemaire is always dependable for excellent food and wonderful service. The dining space in the Jefferson Hotel is pretty amazing, too. Everything we ate was absolutely delicious: Caesar salad, crispy oysters, red snapper, chicken breast. Sean took great care of us.

    Reservation at 2 pm for lunch. For my son’s birthday. They supposed to hold table for 25 min( website clearly says) late for 8min and I called them 3 hours before due to coming from another state. Got there, 8 min late, they kick us out to lunge and lounge menu which are only sandwiches. W e had sandwiches with same amount of money with lunch menu. Sandwiches wasn’t bad however we were not really happy with their system. I would not coming back. Purpose of reservation for celebrating were ruined. I know I was late, but they should not treating in that manner.. especially we picked them for birthday event.
