We had a great experience last night for dinner. The server was attentive and pleasant. The food was amazing!

As always, fantastic food, great bar, and friendly exceptional service.

Our first visit to Village Square Restaurant was so nice. We were in town for a family wedding and we wanted a taste of Old Town Winchester. We chose wisely. This place is sophisticated yet homey. Southern hospitality with a contemporary veneer. It was a Monday lunch, so staffing was sparse. Nevertheless, we enjoyed very attentive and personable service. Our server, Jamie, did a great job on literally his first day on the job here. Bravo! Maisy also did her part, shaking the perfect martinis with a lemony twist. This place has a very adult vibe. The menu isn’t complicated; the kitchen did a good job of executing. We started with a dozen luscious raw oysters (I could have eaten dozens more….delicious). For mains, my wife and I each had the seared ahi tuna salad. Very thoughtful construction, with mixed greens, avocado, cherry tomatoes, red radish, crispy ramen strings, and a nutty, toasted sesame ranch dressing. Elegant concept and presentation. Perfect for lunch, especially when paired with a glass of Cali Chardonnay. Overall, Village Square was a hit with us. We’d eagerly return.

Excellent food, service and ambiance. The only negative aspect to the evening was something outside the restaurant’s control, and that was the presence of spotted lantern flies out on the balcony (they are everywhere in this area now). It would have been pleasant to dine out there, and people were and didn’t seem bothered, but my husband was grossed out by the bugs, so we stayed inside. The interior was lovely and we had a wonderful evening. It was our wedding anniversary, and the restaurant was able to accommodate my request for a table overlooking the lake. And our waitress greeted us with a cheery Happy Anniversary! Very nice. Definitely recommend and look forward to going back.
