Excellent food and service. The ambience was okay. It was quiet which was good, no music but I could hear everyone’s conversations. I’d definitely go back and recommend. Food was delicious and creative, platting was beautiful and thoughtful. I appreciate the thoughtfulness that went into each course.

I was disappointed they didn't win. A couple of observations for your consideration; We sat at the last table on the opposite wall from the bar. Although we could hear the music, we couldn't see the trio. Also, they might want to put some type of screen or drapery from the speaker to the wall to hide what's back there and improve the ambience. My fiancee has ciliac disease and needs gluten free food. We've been here several times and are never disappointed! It's a hidden (literally) gem in Cookeville. I love to bring our out of town guests to 1854. It's a warm, inviting spot to enjoy some delicious appetizers and well crafted cocktails.

This is the first Christmas that I didn't get to be with my whole family for a home cooked meal, so I thought I'd try going with my boyfriend. Thank you, we enjoyed it.

Tammy is a spectacularly great server! She is super attentive and so fast. She reminds me of a football quarterback continually glancing for an open receiver, looking at each of her tables!
