We’re a 17th century dog friendly coaching inn run by husband and wife team Tom and Claire. There isn’t a straight line in the place and we’ve kept the old character of the pub while injecting some more contemporary charm of our own. Our monthly menu showcases the best the local area has to offer featuring things like hogget reared in the village and wild garlic picked from local woodland. Pies and Burgers are on offer on a Wednesday and on Monday and Tuesday we offer a 2 course set menu for £25 per person. Our bar is stocked with locally brewed hand pulled ales, a wide variety of spirits and a good selection on tap with bar snacks alongside at the weekend. Our games room is always a favourite with a pool table and darts and the locals will welcome you with open arms. New for this year we now have a beautiful outdoor seating and dining area where you can catch the afternoon and early evening sun while trying to spot every one of Tom’s 32 fish (they’re not on the menu though!)

The Greenhead Hotel was taken over in June 2020 by local proprietor Jordan Dodwell & his partner Anna Pearson. After a complete refurb they opened the doors on the 14th August 2020.Head Chef, Dan, & his young, eager team use the finest ingredients available using local butchers, suppliers and even forage in the nearby woodland. We enjoyed the Monday Night Special Deal menu for its variety despite not being very long. Very tasty, together with welcoming and attentive service. Extremely good value for money. We'll be back!

Food was so delicious and very filling, (I had the Bridge burger, couldn't eat it all). Atmosphere was friendly and the staff were very polite and helpful. Would definitely eat there again

My husband got the pie which is normally nice, however he left most of it and said it was dry no flavour and the chips were soaked in fat, Our last visit he tried the pasta dish which was awful , it was like milk poured over pasta not flavour at all I don't think we will return for food However the service is great and the drinks are good
