Regarding Lunch Reservation July 11, 1:00 p.m. This was our first visit to LaPlage, to celebrate my wife's birthday. May I first say that the hotel and restaurant were nicely appointed, a perfect addition to the Mystic community. Our lunch was delicious, served promptly with excellent presentation. Service initially was good, but my wife's birthday request, made with the reservation was largely ignored. After our plates were cleared, the check was presented with no offer of dessert or beverages. I fully realize that newer restaurants need to "work out the kinks." As we are familiar with the Delamar West Hartford, we know the caliber of dining and service expected of your properties. We would like to return, but are wary of the next experience. This was a last-minute dinner decision, but one we were glad we made. Food was excellent and our server, Gretchen D. was outstanding!

The food was excellent however the service was well less than stellar. In fact, a couple who had been seated next to us got up and left, saying they waited too long for a wait person. We’ll likely try it again, though. Hopefully with better service next time
