When I was a child I grew up with my mother, grandmother and aunt. All of them were very good in the kitchen. They had different styles and they cooked every day. From ravioli, soup or patisserie, everything was made from scratch. Those ladies were my teachers. My first lesson was dishwashing, later it was helping as their assistant. To honor those amazing woman who helped me in my early days, I decided to open Tarquin to bring Sioux Falls our flavors, recipes and dishes. Tarquin is a piece of Buenos Aires in a remote corner of Sioux Falls commercial district. You are always going to be welcome here and we will always offer you our best.

Riccardo and Marybeth welcome you to their 3rd property, Maribella Ristorante. Opening R Wine Bar & Kitchen in 2018, and Vespa Catering and Brix Wine Bar in 2022, they have created a culture of hospitality for guests who feel like family. Riccardo was born in Florence, Italy and moved to Boston when he was 5-years-old. He stayed in the Boston area for college and attended Tufts University. Marybeth, born and raised in Sioux Falls, SD, moved to Boston to be a nanny and went to Somerville School of Nursing. The two met in Medford, MA, dated and became engaged in Oak Bluffs on Martha’s Vineyard in 1996. Relocating to Sioux Falls, SD in 1999, Riccardo and Marybeth have developed a reputation for making people feel welcome with their three boys, Dante, Berent, and Jaxon. Together with their hand-picked team, Riccardo and Marybeth bring the best parts of hospitality to life in their restaurants, for both their staff and guests.     Every meal here is a culinary adventure. So thankful to have this exquisite restaurant here in our small city in middle America. I truly wish Michelin would come and visit. I’ve eaten at the French Laundry and I believe Harvester Kitchen is equally delicious, creative, and gorgeously presented.

    It was dinner with dad night and Maribella did not disappoint. They have their submission to the Down Town Sioux Falls pork challenge, Osso Buco. My Mind was blown how tender it was. Just pull the bones out without resistance. The smoked mushrooms added the perfect pop of smoke flavor without being over powering.

    Absolutely oustanding restaurant! Amazing atmosphere! Elegant and comfortable seating👌 Great music background, tangos & old Argentinian famous tunes! My churrasco de entraña (skirt steak) melted in my mouth! My sister had the fettuccini with cream sauce & prawns was mouthwatering! The Malbec that was suggested by Chef Gabriel was espectacular, very fine & full of flavor, excellent pairing for the steak👏👏 We’re visiting from Vegas & Ottawa and when we come back to visit again Tarquín is on the top of our list to dine & enjoy with our family & friends! We recommend it very highly🌷🌷
