The long established tradition of Afternoon Tea has been wonderfully preserved at Ashford Castle since 1868 - you’ll notice the original silver tea set displayed in the Connaught Room, which was presented to Lord and Lady Ardilaun to celebrate their 25th wedding anniversary in 1896. With spectacular views from the comfort of the castle’s elegant interior, take your time to savour every delicious moment. The Afternoon Tea menu offers guests a wide selection of speciality teas or perhaps a glass of Champagne, delicate finger sandwiches, warm freshly baked scones with lashings of cream and home-made jam, not to mention our tasty pastries. Beautiful restaurant, staff were lovely.. food came really quickly, too quickly. Stake meal was delicious, sauce to compliment it nicest ever had. Burger unfortunately was a let down. All in all. Was a nice experience

Had great meals here last night. As usual excellent food and great service. Prawn cocktail and black pudding and goats cheese for starters, both delicious. Then chicken goujons and chicken with a brandy and mango sauce, again both delicious. Cobblers never dissapoint

First time having afternoon tea which I received as a birthday gift and it was fabulous. The food, setting service and overall experience was amazing would definitely recommend

We arrived late but the host was fine about it. Lovely man had a laugh with us. He (John) took our order let us try the 2 sauces as we were not sure which one to order. He was a very polite and pleasant man. The place was lovely except it was cold we didn’t take out jackets off. And the radiators were off. They bring out a deserts as it was one of my friends Brady and they all sang it was a very lovely evening. It was steak night and the value for money was amazing. The food was delicious. We had ordered 3 fillet steaks but they ran out so my other friend had the sirloin. All steaks were cooked to perfection Will definitely recommend and we be going back again
