At Babette, the husband and wife team of Joan Ellis and Patrick Hooker, are in the kitchen preparing each plate to ensure that their vision and taste profile are translated to each diner. The attention to detail are evident in not only the food they make but also the ambience they have created. The interior of the restaurant is natural brick and the couple have chosen a rich color palette of deep blues and greens for the walls. An elegant chandelier hangs over a natural wood backed booth providing both a cozy and elegant feel to the room.     I really enjoyed our meal. We tried several of the tapas and one of the sandwiches and there was not one that we disliked. Only somewhat disappointed that there was only one choice for dessert.

    I just love Babette. The patio is beautiful, brick walls and glowing lights under the big redwood, the indoor space interesting and stylish and warm. The food is a treat. Today we had the borscht with short ribs, unusual and delicious. Also the 2 cheese and grilled onion sandwich, and the baby gem salad with poached salmon. The salads had thin cumquat slices and grapefruit as well as greens, very fresh. Also the almond pistachio cake that we shared with a candle since we were celebrating a birthday. Every bite was a pleasure. I am so glad that Babette is open for lunch now!

    My best friend and I made a reservation at Wine So Cru, and from the moment we arrived, we felt taken care of. The staff opened the door for us and warmly welcomed us before seating us near the fireplace, which added to the cozy ambiance. The atmosphere here is incredible—chic yet inviting. Throughout our visit, the staff checked in on us just the right amount, attentive without being intrusive. We each enjoyed wine flights; I went with the champagne flight, while my best friend opted for the Chardonnay. Both were fantastic choices! We also tried the olives, which paired nicely with our drinks. There was a pop-up on-site that looked interesting, but as I'm vegan, we didn’t try it this time. Overall, Wine So Cru left a great impression, and I’ll definitely be back soon!
