We had a fantastic experience on Saturday night. The overall service, including great recommendations was perfect and the food was just brilliant as ever. It’s so nice to see the chefs create unique and unusual combinations you don’t get elsewhere.

This place is worth the visit, give it a try. The menu isn't huge, which in my book is a massive plus. They go with the food that is local and in season. The wine was great, we were allowed to taste by the bottle options (never experienced that before) - because they just want you to have a nice experience. It is not cheap, but I would rather pay an extra £8 for a main course than eat most of the rubbish you get else where... If you love good food and don't mind splashing out a little, go here. Will be heading back for a roast here, very soon (after having a rubbish roast in Montys Inn, Beaulieu earlier today!)

Very welcoming staff and excellent food. Enjoyed sitting by the log fire with our drinks after ordering our food. Lovely bar area by the fire with wood panelling but spoilt by 3 pictures all the same but different colours. One with what seemed red blood painted dripping from the painting over the frame ! Rather destroyed the otherwise lovely ambience

Martin was most welcoming and for that alone we will be back. It was a busy service. Starters were excellent, my friend enjoyed her fishcake with a perfectly poached egg. My shepherd’s pie was good. The creamed spinach was very good. A well chilled bottle of Chenin Blanc complemented the meal. Thank you. Overall a wonderful dining experience which we highly recommend!!

Lovely place, definitely be back soon. Food was delicious and a good choice of proper food and nice kids menu too. Lovely outside space so will be back in the summer if not before
