I really loved everything except the fact that using this app to book a reservation is meaningless if you select an occasion. I selected birthday and there was no acknowledgement of the birthday. I guess it didn’t occur to me I’d have to tell them twice. Was a bummer since I was trying to make the night special. I guess I won’t expect to celebrate at this place in the future. It’s a shame because it was one of the few places in this small town we have enjoyed.

Good is excellent but they are woefully understaffed and there’s an up charge for using a credit card - so bring cash. The menu has great burgers and soups but the brisket sandwich is sadly no longer on the menu. Rooms are charming but cold Lots of free parking is a nice plus

Love the atmosphere! Food and drinks were amazing. Great experience. Been here several times and always the same.

So happy to see the very long overdue updates at the Nittany Lion Inn. It’s beautiful, both at the 1855 bar and Lionne. The drinks were great and the food was awesome, too. The pace of dining was too fast. It seemed rushed when it should be more of a dining experience. Hopefully the staff will work that out. It’s unfortunate that as guests of the bar and restaurant you are required to pay for parking, hopefully they will work that out too.

The Allen Street Grill is the best restaurant in State College. The food is outstanding and the service is excellent.
