DANIEL DEL PRADOBorn in Buenos Aires, Argentina, Chef Daniel del Prado is the child of parents of Spanish and southern Italian descent. After moving to the United States in his early 20s, del Prado began his culinary career in Colorado—cooking at night and snowboarding during the day. Upon moving to Minneapolis, he had the opportunity to work in some of the finest kitchens in the Twin Cities. In 2009 del Prado teamed up with his mentor, Isaac Becker, to open Bar La Grassa in the North Loop. When it came time for del Prado to open his own concepts, he burst onto the Twin Cities scene with his premiere Linden Hills restaurant, Martina, and opened the Oaxacan Mexican-influenced Colita just a year after. Chef del Prado has continued to open new and innovative concepts.

Founded by restaurateur Marno McDermott and former Green Bay Packers player Max McGee in 1975, Chi-Chi's quickly became a beloved staple in the American dining scene. Initially opened in Richfield, Minnesota, the restaurant stood out with its vibrant Mexican "eatery" concept, enticing guests with family dining in a Mexican garden atmosphere and offering superb food and pitchers of margaritas.     Went here for our anniversary. Upgraded to the flowers for our reservation. We showed up and was absolutely perfect. Flowers looked great and even left a nice "happy anniversary" card with it. Food and waitress we also perfect. Bread, potatoes and steak! A perfect dinner for a special day.

    Food was delicious. Our table experienced several choices and there were absolutely no complaints. Fajitas arrived sizzling, meatloaf was yum. And of course we all enjoyed the housemaid chips & salsa to begin. Though our server did seem a bit out of sorts this time(it may have just been a day for her) that has not been the previous experience. We will be back

    We had a wonderful dinner. We were seated out of the patio and it was a fun and relaxing atmosphere. The salmon and steak we order for dinner were cooked to perfection. Sipping on Gin and Tonics made the night feel complete. Our waiter had such a positive attitude, was knowledgeable of the food and drink menu to help us make the best choice for main courses and sides. Char Blu definitely meet my expectations after hearing so many reviews from friends.
