The long established tradition of Afternoon Tea has been wonderfully preserved at Ashford Castle since 1868 - you’ll notice the original silver tea set displayed in the Connaught Room, which was presented to Lord and Lady Ardilaun to celebrate their 25th wedding anniversary in 1896. With spectacular views from the comfort of the castle’s elegant interior, take your time to savour every delicious moment. We thoroughly enjoyed our dining experience at Sophie's Rooftop restaurant on Friday night. The location is superb with amazing views of Galway city. The food was beautifully presented and delicious, so too were the cocktails. Even though it was a busy night, the staff were amazing especially Bernardo who was friendly, professional and paid great attention to detail. We look forward to returning shortly!

Perfect in every way! From the cordial greeting at the gate as we drove onto the grounds, through all the staff, we were made to feel so welcome. Food was superb, view from the table was lovely - overlooking gardens and the lake. Always a wonderful treat.
