   It's been a few years since I've been here and this time wasn't as satisfying as I remember in the past -- and they don't have chips and salsa on the menu anymore which is very sad for Austin, TX. The service and ambiance was top notch, the food was solid but not mind blowing for the price, same for the drinks. Y'all should bring back chips and salsa and make the mezcal/tequila flights more customized instead of a set menu. That said it's such a beautiful place I'll always be back.

   The food was good. Little weird that their was absolutely no music playing at all for a 7:45 dinner reservation. Not a fan of the ambiance as you could hear everyone’s conversations. The menu was very over priced. Visiting from Chicago and $18 for a Marg and $15 for guacamole was absurd IMO. We got a pitcher thinking it would be more bang for our buck to then get a bill for $85. Wasn’t worth the $250 tab for two IMO, could’ve went to a steakhouse.

   Showed up with a reservation but they didn’t have it in their system. Showed them the reservation but they stated they couldn’t seat us. They said the entire city was having an issue with their management system which might be why they couldn’t see the reservation. Didn’t ask if we could hang for a few moments to see if they could get everything up and running. No real genuine sorry’s. No attempt to make it right. We asked if we could sit in the bar for a drink and wait it out, they declined and stated they wouldn’t be able to seat us period. We tried to hit up multiple nice places just to see if they randomly had a table and none of those restaurants were having any sort of issues. The whole situation was just poorly dealt with and felt very disingenuous. I love La Condesa but I won’t be going back.

   We were trying something new. We had a difficult time trying to find the entrance. Once we did, went and were seated. Atmosphere was nice but a little dark. Got water immediately. The server came over and explained everything on the menu using her camera’s light. She was outstanding! I wish I could remember her name, though. We got drinks-a strawberry margarita for me and a tequila based for my husband. Small drinks, but tasty. Got the queso flameado with chorizo. Not bad, but the chorizo needed more flavor. Entrees came. We looked at each other and laughed at the smallness of the amount of food! Ceviche for my husband-bland. 1 short rib taco for me-ok. Overall, we won’t be going back.

   The service was not good, it took a while for a server to actually come to the table and ask for our drinks — after that another 15-20 min for the drinks to come out. After that, we ordered and the food was super greasy. I am from Mexico and appreciate good Mexican food but for the price of each plate, this is definitely not worth it. I will not be coming back, which sucks because it used to be good and the prices were decent.

    It is not the same. Understand covid got all restaurants a bad turn. Miss the different guacamole tasting. Received burnt very hard blue corn chips. Not good. Your ceviche used to be sooooo good. Miss the cauliflower dish. But the best was the carrot dish, very good. Service was very good. Everyone very nice and knowledgeable of the food. Are you under new management?

    The dishes were terrific, well presented and cooked with fresh ingredients. Our server Lena was wonderful and very friendly. I would recommend La Condesa to our friends and family.

    Food was delicious! I would highly recommend! Table for 4 people We forgot to let our server know that it was all our birthdays that day but it’s okay the service was authentically great!

    Not great and will not be back. We have been in Austin over 25 years. La Condesa used to be amazing. Today, the food is good. However, that's offset by the extremely slow service and overpriced margaritas. It feels like a place that is catering to tourists.

    My friend Steph and I were out with our friend Heather for her Bachelorette. We ordered our food and we’re impressed with the portions and quality! Our server, Javier was absolutely a joy and treasure! We loved every second of our experiences and had the tres leches cake- we would have it every night if we were local. It was nice that it was farm to table and had several gluten free, and vegetarian options. Thank you for the wonderful experience! We will certainly be recommending it moving forward.

    Excellent dining experience before a show at the Paramount Theater. We started with the classic margarita and the paloma. The beet tostada was bright and flavorful, with the queso flamedo as starters. The carnitas tacos and short-rib quesadillas were delicious and filling. We finished up with churros and the tres leches for a fabulous meal.

    Service was amazing! I found this place on social media and thought it would be a great brunch spot, and I was pleasantly surprised! Definitely recommend the short rib quesadilla and the huevos rancheros!

    Nice visual presentation for food. Appears expensive. I expected a bit of more variety for a brunch. It was quite noisy for a Sunday brunch. Overall is fine. Nice place. Initial waiter not helpful. Our final waitress was wonderful. Great mimosa flavors.

    It was great experience for our bachelorette dinner! We had such a wonderful time chatting, drinking margs, and eating. We HIGHLY recommend the queso and the guac. Best we’ve ever had hands down.

    Unfortunately our very first time there started Out with no server however the Svc mgr made up for it. The beef Barbacoa was $48 with no side options and full of fat not meat. The Mezcal margarita was hon stay terrible. Please don’t waste $18 on it I beg you. The atmosphere was lovely but could not understand the menu. I have had way better Mexican food elsewhere so won’t return😕

    Very intereseting menu which is very appealing. Cocktails were nice and a generous happy hour, even on a Sunday! The only comment was that the food tasted so heavily salted (all of our items) that it was hard to taste all the wonderful flavors of the other spices. For instance, their Mole Tamale uses 70 ingredients, and it was flavorful, but mostly tasted the salt (sadly). Our taste buds had to work extra to taste all the other flavors. Same for the mushroom dish - which was amazing, but too heavily salted. We would go back, but just ask to cut back a bit on the salt (we like salt!).

    We took a retiring colleague and her husband to La Condesa for dinner. The service was excellent and the cocktails were good but the food was disappointing. The ceviche and the fish entree were good but really sparse servings. The other dishes were mediocre and overpriced. We might return for happy hour in the future but it won’t be a repeat choice for dinner.

    Some person off the street came into the patio and verbally assaulted every single woman on the patio. Although I understand this is not the restaurants fault, how they handled the situation was extremely dissatisfactory. They put all of us at risk by not making a move soon enough even after several complaints. The wait staff continued to ignore the situation unfolding until it escalated. Four people had to subdue the man, two of which worked for the restaurant and the other two were consumers. This man physically shoved the GM? Into a glass wall and onto the street. It did not have to go this far.
