For this to be a premier restuarant in DC, I was not impressed. The food was good but the service sucked. I would have rather went to Del Friscos or Mastros for a better experience.
Without a doubt the best restaurant in DC! Every thing is perfect - the food, the service(!!) and the dining experience.
Between the outstanding service from the host staff to the delicious seafood and steaks we ordered, Joe's is a must try spot in downtown D.C.
Very clean upscale excellent customer service everyone greets you with the upmost respect and insure your comfort ability best place in the nations cap to eat !!
The food was excellent. The steak was cook to perfection. Great ambience. I’m definitely going back soon.
Too bad happy hour is not available until DC gets to Phase 4
Amazing service. Nice ambience. Delicious food. What else could you ask for on your anniversary. Loved the complimentary glass of wine & cake. Definitely will return.
Awesome food and service. Amazing night out to celebrate 25 years of marriage with my family. We can’t wait to go back for more.
The food and service was phenomenal. Walter our waiter was great.
BIRTHDAY DINNER - The receptionist at check in and the waiter were both friendly, professional and in high spirits. The crab claws, Moroccan shrimp, and the CEVICHE! What a start to the evening. The old fashioned are perfect to start with. We order the petite filet (medium) and lobster tail and the New York strip steak (medium). Ended the evening with a complementary brownie/vanilla ice cream candle and the Havana dream. This was my first time at Joe’s and it was memorable. I am on my way to becoming a regular. Thank you.
We had a great experience at Joe's Seafood, Prime Steak & Stone Crab for my low-key birthday dinner. We had an excellent waitress who personable and very attentive. The steaks- filet and ribeye- were very good. However, my husband and I both asked for our steaks to be cooked medium well. I even noted that my steak could be butterflied. However, both of ours came out just bit too pink in certain places for my liking. The ambiance in the restaurant was very nice. However, there was a very nice upper level with white table cloths. It seemed only people of a certain "stature" were seated up there, and it did cause my husband and I to wonder bit as they had available tables in the space, but were not asked if we wanted to be seated in that section. (We were both dressed very nicely.) All in all, we would come back. Their huge sea salt baked potatoes, variety of breads, and complimentary birthday desert were all great!
Caucasian staff members seemed very rude. Only one waitress , an Asian woman, was polite so she received a nice tip. Won’t be coming back anytime soon. Food was delicious though.
Always great food - and a wide variety of options. Friendly and personal service. You can't go wrong!
We had a great server and food
Enjoy the experience
Excellent service. Being from Maryland,I can be a little critical of seafood. The food wasn't bad, maybe could use a little more seasoning. The ambience and service was great
Impeccable service is a hallmark at Joe's Seafood, from the moment you are greeted by Michael, the maitre d, to your escort to your table and the professional staff who serves you for dinner. Favorite dishes are stone crab, of course, but also Joe's coleslaw, and maybe the best fried chicken you'll find anywhere. Amazing wine list and the desserts are legendary. Joe's Stone Crab in Miami is legendary, but Joe's in DC is its first cousin and upholds the tradition.
Honestly I did not expect much with Covid going on but was excellent service a little pricy but worth it. I recommend the clam chowder.
Impeccable service from start to finish.
Outstanding meal, as well, from beginning to end.
Stone crab was great and then the grilled seafood platter was just as good.
I had a few bites of my wife's petite filet mignon and it was incredible m
Could very well have been the best meal I've ever had.
Joe’s provided a relaxed atmosphere for my 30th birthday. It was quiet, with soft music playing in the background. Our waiter, Victor, was welcoming and knowledgeable about the food and drink menus. His service was excellent and I would recommend asking for him when you arrive. The select stone crabs and king crab legs are a must if you’re a seafood lover! To add, I felt very safe dining there during Covid. Tables were separated at a safe distance and I saw many staff members (in masks and gloves) cleaning menus when we arrived to ensure the safety of customers.
Enjoy my stay
Dinner was great. Atmosphere and service were wonderful. Food was delicious. Great choice for an anniversary dinner.
